Whats the deal with alot of the movies on netflix being in 2.0 sound. (like The Avengers or Trainspotting)

Will they eventually have 5.1 versions?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but sound, isn't that the biggest thing on a blu-ray disc? That could be why it seems like only half or so of the movies on Netflix have 5.1. It's just too much data I guess?

Bloodsport: This is a movie I saw on more than once during my childhood. I haven't seen it since I was 15 or so. Holy crap, this movie is awesome for a whole other set of reasons now.

The acting is horrible in such a good way. Especially the younger/kid version of Dux. Those scenes had me dying. The fighting is hilarious too. So many pulled punches/kicks and such a delay in falls/reactions after being hit. There also seems to be a lot of scenes where they have open mouths or look like they are talking, but they aren't making any actual sounds. The best scene is the Mento;s commercial. Overall, watch this movie as a comedy and you will love it.

I pray that How Did This Get Made? covers this movie in the future.

Going to truck through the US The Office, whats considered the best season(s)?

Tough one. Looking through the descriptions I'm gonna say its probably 4. Season 3 is right up there too. It starts to go downhill in season 7 (despite Gabe who becomes my favorite character). And seasons 8 and 9 are dumpster fires.

Netflix is finally launching in my country and I'm fuckin' siked! I've used Netflix before, but it was such a hassle to get the VPN and the other shit. At least it wasn't as smooth as I wanted it to be.

Finally!

The GAF horror movie marathon thread is up. I participated (and a few others from this thread) last year and it was a blast. It helps to have a VPN. You guys should join again this year.

What time does Netflix update? Isn't Arrow season 2 supposed to be out today?

Usually in the 2am-4am range. Depending where you are located. Maybe it was delayed as it was suppose to come out today.

Also, New Girl S3 and Bones S9 hit on Tuesday.

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.

2 and 3, without question. I also love S1, but some people don't (which I don't understand). 4 is still great, and 5 is good as well (with some exceptions), but after that, it's only worth it if you really love the show.

Seasons 1-4 are top tier. Season 5-7 the quality dips some, especially in season 6. 7 the first half isn't great, second half improves. 8 is terrible, 9 isn't great, but after season 8, it seems like a big improvement.

Netflix will launch next week in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

This is fantastic news! I can still use my US account right? I'm mil in Germany so have been using a VPN to get my Netflix action. Would be great to not have to VPN (though I realize the selection is different).

Yes you can, I use my US account in The Netherlands too. Just payment options are more limited. And gift codes if you use those may be a bit more troublesome.

Just booted up Netflix France for the first time. Pleasantly surprised to see Delicatessen. Havent watched that in ages.

They also have the first seasons of Penny Dreadful and Dracula on there, time to waste a few hours.

I thought season 1 was decent with some laughs, Will start up season 2 after SNF.

utopia gets worse as it goes on. the shock just can be sustained and the underlying story isn't anything special (on episode 4)

did you end up watching it GK86?

It seems Adfreetime is planning on adding them all too.

Speaking of Arrow (I'm on season 1 episode 10), that hood of his really isn't a good disguise at all. How does no one see his face? Like, he'll be standing two feet in front of someone with whom he is intimately familiar, and somehow, just because his face is in some shadows, they don't recognize him? lol

Yup. And it is all addressed in two of the best episodes of the series. The Scientist/Three Ghosts two parter.

And here I was, thinking that Netflix would launch everywhere on the same day. France has launched already, but the other countries will probably launch in the coming days.

Belgium will probably launch the 19th. We're always the last.

Always.

Not yet. I was bogged down with school work and football. I will try and watch the first episode tomorrow.

I thought I was all caught up on SoA from the seasons that they have on Netflix. I went to go watch the first episode of the new season that I had recorded and when I read the description there was a huge spoiler.... Turns out season 6 is not on Netflix. Anybody know when this will happen?

FX shows are notoriously slow to go streaming. American Horror Story S2, for example, didn't appear on Netflix until S3 was almost finished on TV. Same thing for Justified on other regions and Amazon. I guess FX prefers people to catch up on FX network, which makes sense since they do lots of marathons.
