Happy New Year NetflixGaf! Damn, Daredevil is so far away yet :/ Are all the Marvel shows supposed to debut this year?

I know for sure Daredevil was this year, maybe Jessica Jones. But I thought Iron Fist and Luke Cage were next year along with their "Defenders" mini series?

Daredevil and Jessica Jones are for sure. You might be right up the IF and LC being next year. I thought they were shooting for end of the year.

Just watched Top of the Lake.

Mixed feelings about this series.
Matt is great, but all the other actors is either just ok or underdeveloped. Like what was the point of the whole woman camp and GJ, there was build some tension around it but in the end there is like nothing. Not that i expected True Detective or The Bridge quality but still disappointed.

Man, I love the first of the month to see what's new, but I'm kind of disappointed about this month. I thought there would be a ton of content since it's the first of the year. Seems a bit limited.

They have trailers for some of the Netflix original stuff, but I agree. Sometimes I wanna get a quick impression before jumping in blindly.

What's the current best mobile queue management solution? The iPhone app I had been using for a long time (Iqueue) stopped working recently and appears to have been removed from the App Store.

If you guys use Chrome, there is an extension in the OP that adds trailers and other stuff.

I do agree, a trailer feature would be great.

Which is fine when I use my computer, but I only do that when I watch something from a different region. Doesn't help when I use my PS4 or iPad.

You can do some basic queue management with the Instantwatcher app from Kaja Software. It's free.

Just finished Heroes season 1. Overall it was a good show, even with its problem. It suffers from way too many characters, and as such, there are characters who you don't get a crap what they do or what happens to them. Mostly from Jessica/DL/Micah. They had the worst story arc's and anytime they came on, it was boring. I would even recommend fast forwarding through their scenes, not missing much. I really loved Sylar's character and
he was the perfect villain.

This is my second time watching it and the streaming model made it more enjoyable. The show repeats a lot of scenes. Watching the season made me more thankful for series with 13 (or less) episodes to a season. 23 is a crap-ton.

Also, Matt (the cop) can't act for his life.

I never do that and will never understand the mentality. Id rather see it through to the end of a show no matter how low it gets and vomit worthy.

edit: even with rewatches i bet i watch like 400 movies a year i never seen before

The reason I stated new was because it is one of the rules for that thread. I like revisiting movies. Opinions change, you might have deeper appreciation for the film, you might want to watch it since it has been 5+ years since you watched it, or nostalgia.

Yep i rewatch a ton of movies specially when i cant decide what new to watch. My opinion can change a lot. For instance some movies i loved lose a a pt each view it seems and i wonder what i even seen in it and it had no last appeal. And gain and I wonder why i disliked it. Sometimes I wonder if when im pissed or depressed if that lowers my scores and if im happy or a good movie in inflates it over what id usually would rate it.
