Kidnapped

ZaIyq.gif

People, if you've never seen this show and you're even remotely interested in good drama television, Kidnapped is a MUST WATCH!!

A damn shame it didn't get renewed for another season. The season's story was self contained and concluded satisfactorily, but it had the potential to do a new kidnapping per season, and would have made a great series.

Dunno if you saw me note it before, GK, but Drag Me To Hell is leaving UK Netflix on the 4th (though it might well be up elsewhere)

Black Death and Tucker and Dale are great. Definitely recommend both. (although not if you're looking for actual horror)

Well you missed 2 good ones. Loved ones (more splatter but still good) and Honeymoon. Both are on German Netflix and i dont know if they are on other regions.

I recommend everyone to watch Housebound, Pontypool, Re-Animator, VHS2, Cabin in the Woods, Event Horizon, Doghouse, The Mist, Idle hands, From Beyond, Shaun of the Dead, Bram Stokers Dracula and Thirst if you are into non generic Horror/Comedy/Slasher movies.

Edit: Netflix Facebook Germany announced 2 Lego series in 2016. I hope its something for Adults too.

Creep: Jesus, what a piece of shit film. Anyone that likes this movie should feel bad. The whole movie is horrible, but the stupid jump scares, the ones that 10 year old kids would find funny, are easily the worst thing about it.

It's good. Interesting take on the genre. Duplass is great in it.

Just watched 1408. (Canada) Jolly good chiller even if there's a few silly shots. John Cusack is passable in the lead role, does what he needs to do, no more, no less. Well worth a watch in my view.

Incidentally, I think Netflix have it mislabelled as the theatrical edition despite it having the (better) director's cut ending.

Awful movie.

Dumb characters, dumb decisions, dumb story, dumb scares.

The ending was horrendous but I loved it thanks to my hatred.

Firefox seems to have issue with Netflix today. I'm trying to watch Scream 2. First Firefox would lock up just by pressing play. I would have to close it through the Task Manager. Now it runs the movie, but Firefox is really slow while doing so like recognizing or switching tabs.

Oh, and Creep is one of the mandatory movies for 31 Days of Horror. Not looking forward to this one.

Did you upgrade to Win 10? I'm using the Netflix app instead of the browser. Works great.

I'm still using Windows 7. I got a Silverlight error though. I didn't have this problem watching The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari 2 days ago.

That movie pisses me off so so much. The first 20-30 minutes or so are fucking brilliant, but when he gets to the room itself, it becomes so boring and un-suspenseful.

Ummm, holy fuck...I don't even know what to say. The depth and range of Reddington as a character is simply astonishing, and the episode itself was just insane; so many awesome moments.

I don't even care for episodic crime dramas, but this feels like something else entirely.

I watched Chef last night and it was a pretty good movie. The only thing I didn't like about it was Robert Downey Jr.'s scene. I think this movie only had a limited release when it came out, but it should've had a worldwide one, but I suppose a movie about cooking doesn't provide mainstream appeal.

Yeah it was a bit pointless, and I was just waiting for it to actually go somewhere.

Cheeks Spread for Digital Only Future
Well that's disappointing. Yeah, this show just fell off my priority list.

I'm not necessarily looking for quick resolutions, but it's just that the mystery isn't all that interesting to me. It doesn't take this long to resolve a matter like this. Fringe managed to resolve a similar mystery by the end of the pilot.

Had this been a mystery revolving around the 'ultimate villain', the carrot dangling will be fine. But in this case, there's just obfuscation just for the sake of keeping things ambiguous enough to keep the plot device in play. It's incredibly frustrating.

Thanks for answering my question.
Yeah, I watched the first two seasons, but it really started to drag and only James Spader kept me going. I am not going to watch the new season because I can't take the constant Mcguffins. The last two episodes of the first season were dedicated to a 'big bad' that got dumped midway through he second season in a way that indicated that they never had any plans for the character other than as a cliffhanger.

The way to watch Blacklist:
- watch Spader say something funny
- watch Spader do something awesome

Spader's not on? Browse GAF.

I've seen too many found footage films on Netflix, and Creep is probably one of the better ones. Not really scary though, just amusing.

seems like they change it up a bit after the half way point? or so i heard. personally still struggling through season 4. show can be so slow sometimes...

I finished it. Kinda picks up. I enjoyed the last episode and the first two, but the whole season was slow. You will struggle with this too.

Why does Blacklist seem like, more and more with each episode, the villains seem to be picked straight out of a comic book? It's getting harder for me to take this show seriously. It started off so well... I don't know what the fuck the writers were thinking.

28 Days Later (Sweden): I like the parallels between the humans and the infected, but the long stretches where nothing much seems to happen (particularly in the second act) drag a little and its cheapness shows these days. But excellent performances all round from the actors. Four stars.

Did it?
Did it really?

Yes, I do feel that it started off well. I mean, it's the whole reason I got into the series!

I understand that the structure for these silly villains has always been there, but now it's getting out of hand. The Judge may as well have worn a costume while carrying out the sentencing. It was so cringe worthy.

Yeah it kind of a guilty pleasure show.

That moment when
Dembe rolls out Christopher's mom in a wheelchair in the peripheral view of the camera shot as Reddington pauses for effect, staring at the ceiling, LMFAO!!!!

It's moments like these that keep me watching this ridiculous show. That was some fantastic directing and comedic delivery!
