Netflix |OT| Where Binge Watching is Encouraged

Homeland Security Fail
I thought it was alright. Kinda picked up towards the end. Mostly the dream sequence stuff. Overall though, I expected way more from it.

Is Atelier an actual co-production or did they just license it from Japan? Someone really needs to get on the jdorama train. Not enough stuff comes over.

Netflix co-produced it with Fuji TV, but Fuji TV is free to show it on their services after a certain period. Same thing with Terrace House, although Terrace House was a long running reality show that was kind of rescued by Netflix.

I'm pretty sure Terrace House is coming to the US and other territories soon. It's all translated and they just introduced
a bilingual dude from Hawaii
to obviously cater to a wider market.

Aiii

So not worth it
Just posted in OT... EU is trying to ruin regionswitching by forcing Netflix to enforce regional content across regions...
1. Widening access to content across the EU

Today's rules on the content portability represent a first step towards improving access to cultural works. For example: a French user of the online service MyTF1 for films and series is not able to rent a new film while on business trip to the UK. A Dutch subscriber to Netflix travelling to Germany is only able to watch films offered by Netflix to German consumers. If he visits Poland, he is not able to watch films on Netflix as Netflix is not available in Poland. This will change. When travelling across the EU, users will have access to their music, films and games as if they were at home (see factsheet on the new rules).

Idiots.

Fuck, I'd forgotten that I still need to watch Bloodline as well as Narcos... and Daredevil... and HoC season 3... and OITNB.

I'm thinking that I might try and get into Seven Deadly Sins this evening, given that I haven't watched any anime in a while.

Decided to look up this movie called Heathers I saw on a tumblr feed and about fifteen minutes into it I wasn't feeling it thinking it was just another teen chick flick, but from the 80's but then
this motherfucker pulls out a revolver on these two jocks and shoots them
.
They were blanks though and lol at Veronica thinking he's just going to get a suspension for bringing in a real gun to a school. It would be pretty dumb if this guy is still there.

Heathers is incredible, I just love how surreal it is and totally fucked up.

I am watching Troll Hunter right now. Not convinced yet.

I just finished it and yo. Damn. Movie did a complete 180 on me.
It went back to dark and stayed there. Veronica was dumb as fuck to stick with that guy as long as she did. Why would you be interested in a guy who brought a gun to school, blanks or not and then he killed your "friend". Also I don't think that guy was expelled because he was still walking around the school. How in the fuck was that possible?

I was able to convince my ex that Troll Hunter was a documentary about a group of guys searching for trolls.

I read last week about an app/software/site that enables your Netflix to get content from other regions; any idea what it is called?

Dexter's Laboratory Season 1 (TV, Kids)
Johnny Bravo Season 1 (TV, Kids)
Powerpuff Girls Season 1 (TV, Kids)

These are actually incorrect. Certainly Powerpuff Girls all that's left is 13 episodes from season 3. (I've never quite understood Cartoon Network's treatment of their licenses)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014, Canada): All around terrible movie. People were right, stay away from it. Everything, from the turtles stupid designs, to the way how they talk (I hate how Mikey talks/sounds), to Ralph have a toothpick, to Splinter, to the CGI, to the Shredder design, is bad.

The movie is boring as well. The action sequences were alright.

Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor (Mexico): Holy shit, such a dark film lol.

Thanks for the heads up.
