Some days I get jealous of what gets added to American Netflix...

I thought I was rid of that abomination for good. Please Netflix burn it away, burn it all.
But then again this is a great opportunity for everyone to realise that Victoria is awesome because "everyone is the same color which is why she won’t rest until she claims justice and become heroin".

Now if you excuse me I'm off to drink. Heavily.

Anyone tried this new kids' series Beat Bugs? Seems like a fun little concept:

Each half-hour episode features music from The Beatles as a basis for the adventures of a group of young bugs in a backyard that is their universe. Songs like Penny Lane gave Weakly stories that suggested wonderful imagery to use in each tale.

The show will not feature the original Beatles recordings. Songs – from Help! to Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds – are performed by either the young insects or guest voices such as Pink or Sia.

All episodes from season 1 became available on Netflix on August 3, 2016, while season 2 will be available on Netflix on November 18, 2016.

Voltron is seriously up there with the best of any Netflix series.

It is living proof that you can make a reboot that honors the spirit of the original and actually do better than the original.

Can anyone recommend a new anime series on netflix to watch? I like swords and sorcery stuff, really enjoyed RWBY and Voltron, and also watched Gurrern Lagann and Sword Art Online (which started out great and then....wow, gross.)

I watched The Little Prince. I loved it. The story was beautifully told. I think the cast did a standup job. Especially Jeff Bridges. They did a great job in casting Ricky Gervais for the character of the Conceited Man.

What I liked most was the different art styles when the movie is telling the two stories. The art style of the Little Prince is charming and such a visual treat.

The movie made me tear up twice during it. Although, I thought the story/movie kind of drops the ball towards the end. Overall, I would recommend it.

My son just started watching this and his loves it (he's 2 and a half). My wife and I love it also because we get to listen to Beatles songs. We've already seen all the curious George movies like 20 times so it's nice for him to get on something new

By chance, w/out even knowing it was a Netflix original until the startup (yes, I realize it says in the box, it was early), I was looking for something for my son. He's only 10 months, but he liked the show during the songs at least. Better than Backyardigans for him, and I don't mind listening to it.

Something I've discovered is that on certain series the subtitles show up in all caps except for phone calls which inexplicably have the correct capitalisation.

I don't know if there's a way to fix this, it's just really odd. First White Collar, now House.

It is weird how badly Netflix has missed with their film offerings.

The problem is that since they can't make the money back in the cinema, they're limited by budget, so there are only certain films they're going to be able to pick up. It's why they've mainly aimed for comedies by recognisable stars, because those are cheap and have name recognition, but the problem is obviously they can't be those guys' A-game or they'd be getting a cinema release. A lot of the time they're getting cast-offs that would otherwise go direct-to-DVD (see: Special Correspondents).

There's only so often you can pick up a Little Prince or a Beasts of No Nation that all the other companies just didn't see coming.

And don't get me started on Bright - I think that was a disastrous investment.

So not worth it
Enjoyed Fundamentals Of Caring, still need to check out the Gervais one that came out a few months ago, that looked okay.

Just finished watching both seasons of Fargo (one of the few cool things about Netflix in my country. We get like 10% of the USA content but at least we have Fargo which isn't available everywhere).

This might be my favorite TV show ever.
Like what the hell am I going to watch now?

Speaking of Fargo, does anyone know where you can see season 2? Asking for my parents.

Fbh - have you seen Stranger Things yet? The hype is justified. I'd recommend that.

Trump: The Art of the Deal is amazing.

Highly recommended. One of the best comedies I have seen in awhile.

Surprised it doesn't have its own thread.

I'm not! It really is great!

Finished Spartacus last night. I knew enough of the true history, so I was interested in seeing whether they'd stick with that or change it up.

I'd give the overall series a 3 or maybe 3.5 out of 5. Lots of crazy fight scenes, gratuitous sprays of blood that became comical, lots of wild screaming and jumping scenes where the jumper would normally be skewered but "hey that's Spartacus or Crixus or Gannicus" so of course they dominate the fight.

Still mostly fun but seriously gratuitous in almost every regard.

Likely going to jump in House of Cards with my wife next. Seems a logical thing to watch given the current inanity of the 2016 election.
