Netflix |OT| Where Binge Watching is Encouraged

Any thrillers or horror movies you guys wanna recommend?

I watched dream house recently. It's solid.

Dark skies is good as well.

And there is that MTV scream series which actually manages to be good enough to watch. I am in the middle of season 2 which is... struggling atm but could pick up.

ARQ and Rebirth are also worth watching.

Thanks. It will either be ARQ or rebirth tonight. We'll see. I've seen the others.

Scrotal Recall's a far harder sell, I imagine, even if it's a far more accurate description ;)

My wife will be excited, she loved the first season.

finished up all episodes of lovesick/scrotal recall s2. a quick binge watch with 8 episodes about 25 min each.

enjoyed it just like the first season. i
nteresting to see where they go if they do a s3...like dylan is going to run out of girls right? it was a little hard to remember the timeline of events since s1 was so long ago. i can't remember...did they ever show like how big his list was? lol dude gets around. imma be annoyed if its a cliff hanger ending and nothing gets resolved. luckily netflix seems pretty good about letting shows have an ending

ARQ was really enjoyable. I hope there's a sequel.

Death Note is a good thriller until it shits the bed in the final act.

There is also a live action version which deviates from the anime quite a bit. I watched a bunch of episodes while it was coming out then forgot about it. The part I got up to changed dramatically from the anime... not necessarily better but different. It's probably still watchable on crackle.

4k Netflix now available on PCs (but only with Microsoft Edge on Kaby Lake processors). Fuck you Microsoft, Fuck you Netflix.

Did you read the article? Just like with Netflix spotty selection of movies and shows, this isn't their fault. Blame the studios withholding the content and asking for heavier DRM, not Netflix or Microsoft, who are actually developing ways for you to watch 4k that satisfies the owners' demands.

Crazyhead, season 1 (Netflix original)

This is another British show they've picked up. It's by the creative team behind "Misfits",which was a screwed up superhero show (and was awesome). This time, it's a screwed up supernatural show, and is supposed to be really funny in the same style as Misfits. I'll be watching.

Wow.... not a single thing listed coming in December that I want to see. Netflix has been going downhill big time on non-original content. Also, I've been getting pop ups that It's Always Sunny is leaving on Dec. 8th (not sure if only certain seasons or all of them)

I read it. If Microsoft and Netflix wanted to they could work with 3rd parties and get it working on other CPUs and GPUs. Most of the newer GPUs support HDCP 2.2.

Done with a second viewing of The Crown. Watch it watch it watch it watch it. The performances are incredible and everything about it is just amazing. If you think it's like Downton Abbey or something you are wrong, it's not a soap. Watch it watch it watch it.

You seem to be under a faulty assumption that just because one thing has been announced other things will not be announced at a later date.

(Although I do not think there will ever be support for older x86 CPUs, there are actually good reasons there).

So not worth it
Netflix is just going batshit with all their originals, who even has time to watch even half of them. They release a new one like every week now, I guess a lot of them are productions they purchased from elsewhere and release as Originals in other regions, but still, jesus.

I have given up trying to catch up on Netflix Originals. My backlog of their stuff alone is insane.

How do I look for a broader selection of movies on Netflix? I honestly can't find movies I'm interested in because when I search for a certain genre I get the same suggestions.

Netflix had the stupid idea of getting rid of "top rated" rankings and other stuff. Now we are stuck with their suggestions.

Lovesick is pretty damn good.

i may also be in love with evie

She's married to me.

The Imitation Game is utterly awful. It's a movie about what people think super smart scientists are like (AKA completely socially and emotionally incapable). That movie has its own section on its Wikipedia page just for how inaccurate it was. What a stupid movie.

One of the more offensive Oscar baits in recent years. Every moment of supposed insight was in fact just Facebook-worthy one liners of wisdom.

Could someone explain how it works and whether it's better than Amazon's? I hated how Amazon's was limited to certain devices (I don't want to watch Lego Movie on my phone).
