Thanks for the suggestions. I think I've watched almost all of rurouni kenshin years ago. In the middle of Samurai Flamenco. Waiting on season 2 of attack on titan. Didn't like killa la kill, but the other 2 I'll definitely check out.

Oh I recognize madoka magica now. I think that is what I'll go for.

You should, Madoka Magica is really fantastic. Pretty sure they have all of the movies up on Netflix at the moment as well.
Moribito is also worth checking out if you liked Kenshin. Sort of similar premise but the art is gorgeous.

I've been watching the Hip-hop Evolution docu series. Very interesting, would've even welcomed longer eps, or more eps lingering on the same era. I don't think there's a seperate thread for it (yet) though.

Also this Medici: Masters of Florence has an insane cast. Robb Stark, Brian Cox, Dustin Hoffman... I might have to check that out.

Oh, and I need to start watching Voyager.

boo...the shows i want to watch on the plane aren't available for download yet.

Downloads seem pretty small in size. 300 MB for the pilot for Twin Peaks and Narcos. I guess they are SD? Makes sense I suppose.

edit: nevermind i'm dumb. there is a higher quality download option. although watching twin peaks in sd seems somehow appropriate :D

What the hell? Started up netflix to watch some Macgyver and now while hovered over, it plays clips while playing some generic music. This is on Xbox btw. Don't know if it applies on other platforms.

White Rabbit Project is super fun, but the thought did strike me when I was watching the most recent episode that it kind of limits itself by e.g. having bad language, since otherwise I can imagine kids falling in love with it like I did MythBusters.

Yep I don't understand that either. It would be a perfect kids show without the language (in my opinion - I know not everyone cares about that).

I can't find it, and don't know how to trigger it. It was dark and a Werwolf on it, have no further info.

It has two seasons. The first season is focused on Marco Polo. The second season they realized the character sucked and focused on everyone else (which is a good thing). The only thing I would say is the second season ends on a cliffhanger.

Spectral had a surprisingly high budget, CGI effects were pretty good especially during the end, but the plot is basically Call of Duty with spooks, and the editing seemed really shoddy. You may as well pretend the movie wasn't shot in English for the second act because none of the dialogue matches with the actors' mouths.

You can tell it was planned as a theatrical release and then the guys in charge saw the movie and lowered their asking price by a lot. And potentially put a cap on any further editing or shooting. It's basically a "wait for it to show up on Netflix" movie, and we've skipped right to that part.

Spectral was a decent, SciFi, action flick. I thought the first half of the movie was better than the second half.

I have no idea what they were thinking with The White Rabbit Project. The reason Mythbusters worked so well is because they worked as a team but the new show is just a collection of mostly solo segments

Decent month. I'll add a few of those. I like that Disney's partnership with Netflix is driving some of their recent stuff to the service. The Jungle Book at the end of Nov and the new Alice in January. Stuff I didn't go the theatre to see but might stream.
