New Black shots

Black looks great. Im not a big fan of FPS, apart from Halo and a couple of others, but from what we are able to get our hands on, this game looks amazing. Its annoying that EA wont let us see the game in motion, but thats probably because its something that is really special. Criterion never seem to disappoint:)

belive me.ppl who said black looks good just for the screens are gona be owned when they see the game on motion.gun porno my friends

Are people trying to downplay Halo again? Pfffttt, what ever makes you feel better.

As for the AI, it's freakin' excellent period. Not just for a console. But excellent period in the entire FPS genre, hell everything else. It makes me wonder how come it took this long for such amazing AI, and yet it still doesn't seem to the standard yet even in more newer and advanced FPS.

It viewed by the industry in such heights for a reason, all this belittling makes people look like sad haters.

I think constructive criticism of Halo is refreshing (yes, there is some of that here)

It should be regarded as one of the best examples of an FPS there is. But likewise, it isn't some fantastic acheivement that can never be bettered. It will be bettered, its just a matter of time. Whether its Bungie or someone else, who knows?

In some ways, Halo could be considered to be like Gran Turismo. The first game wowed everyone, rewrote the books on how games should be. The second one added more.

Now we're on GT4, and it hasn't moved on much. Games are either snapping at GTs heels (Forza), or redefining the genre (burnout) or a bit of both (PGR)

My initial thoughts? That's the best looking Xbox360 game yet.

My thoughts upon discovering it's a ps2 game? Ouch.

Me too. :lol

Though I didn't think it was the best looking 360 game, just thought it was one.

I think it was the gameplay that killed it for me. I felt like I was killing the same exact enemy over and over and that the enemy never tried anything new.
What the bloody hell? Are you sure you're talking about either Halo 1 or 2?

I never understood the hooplah behind the AI in either Halo game. The challenge in the game came from recharging shields on the elites, not the AI.

lol, nice try.

Once you play Halo 2 online with most of the GAF community you learn to take their opinion on the game with a grain of salt :lol

Since when does the PS2 run in 800x600 resolution?

My guess is that these shots are from a PC build (one of Renderware's features is that is runs at various resolutions on PC as well as on PS2 and Xbox).

Compared to PC FPS games this looks subpar, but I guess console folks will take what they can get.

Since devs have been releasing cleaned up high resolution shots for a lot of this generation so they don't appear small on your high resolution monitor and perfect for magazines? Why do people act like they never seen this before, they have been doing it for a long time.
