New Capcom games revealed - first screens inside!

Fairly dissapointing all round really. Though, the GS write up for the Demento demo seems encouraging, amongst other things...

*ahem*

Talk about having bombs.

The lack of respect for Keiji Inafune is infuriating. Hello, the guy who made Megaman/Onimusha? Capcom's not totally devoid of talent yet. :/

fixed again.

I actually was gonna add Koby but I don't think many people here credit him enough for the success of RE4 which he deserves. Him leaving too means these new games are cover-ups for how bad their in-house is hurting right now. Picking up an Activision reject? How low can you go?

EDIT: Not to suggest that Capcom devoid of talent now but their big hitters are definitely pretty much gone now. This puts more strain on people like Tanaka and Keiji to pick up the slack which is bad.

hey is this game some type of sequel to the movie Commando? Cause that certainly looks like Ahnold... who'd they kidnap now... his Doug?

We have no real idea how much Kobayahsi contributed to RE4, but at this point I am sure he is deserving.

He made Shadow of Rome, brand new Capbomb with broken stealth. But amazing graphics.

They aren't, but the recent talent drain still seems substantial IMO.

Cool, hope they actually use the Saturn version of MMX3 with all the little extras and cutscenes. Should be able to clean up the loadtimes...though we'll probably just get the SNES version.

OMG, HOW COULD I FORGET!?

RE4 SPECIAL HYPER FIGHTING W/ KEN AND RYU!

I'd buy that SOB too. I don't care if they Add freakin Gumby as an extra playable if it plays well as a good addition I'm buying it. I've beaten RE4 5 times already and am starting to go through withdrawals.

I won't go with the GA flow and plaster "bomb" on these things yet. I'm interested in seeing what Cavia does with that brawler seemingly inspired partly by NiN of all things.

I wish good luck to the UK developer enlisted by Capcom to try to compete against the local Rainbow Six/Mercenaries/Splinter Cell crowd. The "24-ish" game concept sounds interesting.

And Haunting Ground sure as hell LOOKS inviting...ahem.

PS2 version with speical costumes, and Leon with the RYU outfit!

All I want right now is an RE4 mission pack. Have Krauser, Ada, and Luis be playable and fill in the story around what Leon was doing, and why
wesker wants the parasites, what happened to T/G
.

Sure, but at the same time all their talent seems to be draining into their Clover subsidiary anyway. Besides Okamoto, his loss is pretty substantial. It'd be like Miyamoto leaving Nintendo or Suzuki leaving Sega.

Wasn't the Saturn version plauged by big black borders though? I'd always heard the 3DO/PSX versions came out best for some reason.

I'd say it could be the PSX version though, as that's likely the emulator used. It's too bad we didn't get the far superior Saturn version of MM8 in MMAC. :(

agree, but welcome to RE5!

I hope they do too. I hated X3 on the SNES. Unfortunately, they didn't use the superior Saturn version of MM8 in MMAC, so don't expect them to use the Saturn version in MMXC.

Leon as Dante and Ada made up as Trish would be a trip. Or the ever-reliable Guile and Morrigan. Sure, Morrigan shows up everywhere, but with these graphics...

Keep those Atomic Planet hacks far away from X Capcom.

Ryu or Ken? Wtf. If anything, they'll include Dante in it
Hmm.... Interesting idea actually. Course I'm sure they'd have to add him as a sub plot to the RE universe.... knowing them, they could probably pull something out of their ass. :lol

Wasn't both console versions of K7 on the show?

Isn't Disney itself handling the Nightmare Before Christmas games now? And I don't think Capcom ever had anything to do with the GBA game...

Shadoiw of Rome is already out in Europe and Nigthmare before Christmas is out in Japan since late last year.

I dunno, K7's under embargo until later (like RE4 last year). So far though, it GC only in America (and only America strangely).

Buena Vista is distributing them, but I thought Capcom was also invloved in publishing.

Well, this was Capcom USA's gamer day.

yeah that's a weird plan :P
I think either NOA actually coughed up for an exclusive or SCEA's giving Capcom grief over content approval. I'd say the latter's much more likely though.

Nice, I always wanted to try this out.

ouch....

this game is just horrible!!!

i am looking forward to the two new games, both sound interesting. but also, i am missing megaman legends part 3 >:O thats what i want!

-Jiraya: The Magical Ninja (PS2) Capcom Studio 3

i thought it was canned?

I wonder if the MMX and Classics Collections are being produced by Capcom USA (like MMAC) or Capcom Japan (like SFAC)?

Wow. I'm really disappointed.

As for the MMX collection, it'll probably wind up being MMX1-6, as 7 is still available for PS2. Even if it is available on the collection disc, the game sucks utter shit.

I like how whoever wrote the MMX collection article mentioned in two different places that 'While Capcom hasn't announced the release date or what platform, it's safe to say at least the PS2 will get it.'

That's Circle Studio's (UK) first game. Credit where credit's due, even if it does look generic, at least it doesnt look like a complete trainwreck.
