On the visuals discussion, i dont think a fairy tale world has ever looked so technically astounding, Rare have done a good job of bringing in advanced lighting and particle effects without comprimising the colourful flair of the art, this should definitely serve as an example to other developers. Best looking game on Xbox? Hard to say, Conker is such a varied game, of the bits we've seen id say not, but we'll have to wait and see for the bits that Rare hasnt shown off yet. The Lava race should be one to look out for, as should the actual gameplay part of the matrix scene (Just basing that off what were the best looking parts of the N64 version).

As someone said this game looks better and better for every new screenshot i see.
I never had the chance to play this one on the N64 so i've been looking forward to it for quite some time now.

I really enjoyed the D-Day demo and from what i've seen the other levels in the game are just as good if not better.

Anyone got a believable release date for this one?

to me this game looks a lot better in motion than in screenshots. which is kind of strange nowadays (since most release high res or doctored shots). in particular, that 4th screenshot looks kind of bad to me. but having played the demo, i know the game looks fantastic.

The game does belong among the XBX's visual best undoubtedly, but the fur *is* overdone. The moogle's fur in FF:CC's looked better imo. Rare is rendering fairly simplistic characters, in terms of polygons & design. The lighting is fantastic, but besting SC:CT emulated HDR effects? I don't think so.

They also said that Fable would revolutionize gaming, etc. It's called hype for an upcoming release.

twat was never censored in the n64 version (at least in NA). Great Mighty Poo calls conker a "little twat" at the end of his song. Its kinda lame that they are censoring it further, the game is going to get an M rating anyway, isn't it? Would have been nice to have some all new parody levels too, something a little more current like Lord of the Rings, or Spiderman or something.

Does anyone else have a problem with Conker's fur? It looks quite horrid in motion and in screen caps. Why couldn't Rare do something along the lines of SFA? Also, anybody who played the demo would probably agree it's NOT the best looking Xbox game. Far from it actually when you consider everything but the character models. I was utterly unimpressed with how marginally better it really looked over the N64 version. I know someone said "NO" to Doom 3, but in this case I'd have to say I disagree. Doom 3 looks better. It looks like a game built from the ground up for a current gen system.

That "fur shading" is looking less and less impressive everytime I see it. Everything is visually vibrant and pleasing and makes me wish Rare would jump on a Jet Force Gemeni sequel but the fur is subpar the more I look at it.
