I wouldn't mind them releasing a DLC from her point of view or something.
IF this game doesn't end up being completely balls.
Aw shit, I just saw a Jump scan about XV, anybody know anything yet?
Oh fuck off with this.
Now that I think of it, I think this might be one for Gladiolus.

Looks like they name the short haired guy.. Col Leonis? Something like that.
On exploration/World
These two were discussed shortly after one another (airship after world map) and I'm guessing the FF games were something like FFVIII to FFXII, as since then we've seen that the world map is indeed like XII, so whether airships are still in isn't clear, perhaps it does go into a traditional top down world map when flying the airship.
"For displaying characters on the world map, we were originally planning on using the method used by FF#, with a small Noctis running about on the screen. But that didnt look too great, so we ended up switching to the method used by FF#,"
But, you can fly on the world map with an airship.
.
It's just the main cast announcement which is already on the Japanese press release: http://www.jp.square-enix.com/company/ja/news/2013/html/a4455bcc4cef57895646f2e0768a2c80.html
Noctis Lucis Caelum - Tatsuhisa Suzuki
Ignis Scientia - Mamoru Miyano
Gladiolus Amicitia - Kenta Miyake
Prompto Argentum - Tetsuya Kakihara
Cole Rionis - Hiroki Touchi

It's the other way around. Tokyo = Noctis' kingdom, Venice is a neighboring one.Haha of course it's different, you must have forgot the 2011 trailer with all of the glass skyscrapers and motorways ;p
My guess - this city = Noctis's place, it is attacked by the creepy looking guy who summons Leviathan to destroy it and take the crystal
The Tokyo-like place is Stella's hometown, and after being attack Noctis and team travel there which eventually leads to them both meeting (in the scene where Noct is wearing the tux)

They were supposedly in Final Fantasy Versus XIII, we are not 100% if they will be in Final Fantasy XV (seems like they've retained everything from Versus, but we weren't even 100% how they'd work in Versus, let alone this next-gen version now).Did he just confirm controllable airships?
....... because I think he just confirmed controllable airships!

.....and fairly certain character switching is still in.
Cole Rionis is probably Cor/Collum Leonis assuming all of the Names are Latin-based.
Collum is neck whereas Cor is heart. Leonis is lion.

Dunan (that guy who has a Akihiko Yoshida avatar of the girl in the rocking chair and is crazy about linguistics) says the last character's name should be 'Cor', meaning heart. It's just the main cast announcement which is already on the Japanese press release: http://www.jp.square-enix.com/company/ja/news/2013/html/a4455bcc4cef57895646f2e0768a2c80.html

In this video you can see Noctis's health bar change in length from scene to scene. Does that mean we're missing some pieces?

I think it would be more constructive to stop attacking fujoshi and consider your own complete thrill at the yuri in 13. You're not better than what you deride.
These are the symbolic translations not literal.
Noctics Caelum - Calm Night.
Ignis Scientia - Knowing Fire
Gladiolus Amicitia - Friendly Sword
Prompto Argentum - Quicksilver
Cor Leonis - Lionheart
Stella is voiced by Minako Kotobuki; I'm good with voices, you can trust me on this.

Well, yeah, at least for me.
I just don't get how they got チェラム out of Caelum... Do they have any idea how latin is pronounced?
Of course I know that, I'm not new to Japanese.
In the case of Cerberus, it's relatively close except the K and S sound mixup. But in the case of Caelum, changing the K sound into the Ch sound is really stupid, among others.
Man, if every language had the same sound system as my language, no one would have trouble pronouncing any sound in any language...![]()
Dude, you're talking about a language where Cerberus is written as ケルベロス. Japan has a history of "interesting" adaptations of foreign words.![]()
I think what they show in the gameplay trailer actually is Tokyo but in daylight. There are signs of modern stuff which is what Noctis's hometown conveys. Noctis's hometown is supposed to a riveting city that is beyond the modern technology thanks to the crystal while the other cities are still stuck in a fantasy/medieval setting because they don't have the crystal.
Every FF game has had both genders in the total party count,
Which is ironic considering Noctis' family fights with swords and the other side fights with guns.
Here's mine:
Noctis Lucis Caelum - Night Light of Heaven/Sky
Ignis Scientia - The Science of Fire
Gladiolus Amicitia - The Friendly Sword (or friendly flower, which is preferable)
Prompto Argentum - Quicksilver
Cor Leonis - Squall Leonhart
That was more of like hitching a free ride on an airship, not sure if you can actually control one since Nomura hasn't confirmed it in a while or really talked about any kinds of specifics about them. I mean, it's obvious the tech should be able to handle it with Noctis already shown on an airship high in the sky. I do hope so but with so many questions about the actual nature of how the transition between cities, fields & places goes, we can't be sure how all of this will work. I mean, previously it seemed the game was made out of some number of super-large areas + a few big cities, so the world wasn't completely without loading screens. So how would airships actually work, when we don't have a world map like FFs of yore?Seems like you can straight up teleport to one, at least.
Not X-2.
Not that I'm complaining, but did they get rid of the blood?

No, it's just blue now.
Technically blood is blue. =D

The good thing is the name says a lot about the characters so it's quite easy to figure out stuff. I think Ignis' name might be a reference to the first fire of man which gave knowledge.
