New GTA 5 PC Screenshots 3/27/2015

Right now, I don't care how many screenshots they put out, or if there's going to be a trailer. I am remaining skeptical about it releasing on the 14th. I'd like if it released on the 14th so I can finally play this damn game, but I refuse to let my expectations get high again.

In other words..

Posed shot with debug tools. Will your character and those cops ever be in that same situation? Probably not. But do the game assets look like that? Well.... I should hope so. Because I see a lot of cruddy looking things in that shot. Namely the foliage in the foreground (yuck). And look at that ground texture. Lol....

Yeah, that's a "bullshot" alright....

Still nothing about the sketchy sounding DRM?

Guess we''ll be finding out after the game's out. Not touching this game until this has been clarified and deemed unshitty.

The game is linked to a pseudo MMO. Of course it's going to have to connect and authenticate, and for all we know the hardware thing is like Steam, how it detects if you're on a new computer and asks you to verify to make sure it's not a hacker.

The only question that remains in my mind is, will there be a traffic / pedestrian density slider?

Advertised as captured from PS4:

Will there be a cheat code like in GTA3 where all pedestrians have guns and attack everyone? That would be insane. That should be its own mode. You could make a separate game and call it state of emergency!

I wasn't planning on double-dipping any time soon after fighting through the PS3 version not long ago but admittedly those screenshots are making me sweat quiet a bit. No chance at full price but when the first sales happen (assuming the port is actually good performance-wise)....

Every screen shot looks like a cartoon after being spoiled by The Order.

I'm sure you'll be able to limit the game to 30fps, mod in black bars, a grey/brown filter, brutal post-processing and so much motion blur that it'll make even the strongest man dizzy.

Honestly I don't see a gargantuan difference here. The two shots are clearly taken at a different angle. You can tell the cactus and flowers are the same in both pictures. You just can't see the barren patch of land in the PC shot because of the angle. And the difference in shadows is just because the sun is in a different place.

It's weird if you look at the Upgraded Cheetah's Mirror you can see a proper reflection but when you look at the muscle car's mirror infront of it it just reflects a grey image idk might be the sky but hopefully gta v pc has proper mirrors on cars.

If these are not bullshots then it's a nice upgrade, still, it would probably take a super beast pc to run it with that level of IQ and with good performance on-top.

Eh this is PC..even if they are bullshots...the final version will be at least a bit better then ps4..which alreaady looked great..and after a few days..will be as good as modders want to make it..and they will.

I wish that oculus support had been added, i know modders will do it but i would have loved a proper integration...ie independent from weapon head turning.

Welp I have a 560 SE so it looks like I'll have to stick to PS4 version for a while.
I really need to upgrade eventually

Not if the specs are to be believed. I said 660 maximum, not minimum. The actual minimum is a 9800GT, which is absolutely ancient for a 2013/2014/2015 game to support. A 560 should run it just fine, but since it's below maximum, don't expect to run it above medium or so.

You guys think this will be part of the Steam summer sale? I got too much backlog right now but this is definitely my most anticipated PC title of the year.

Looks great, hopefully my 690 holds up decently for now, I'm trying to wait for the gtx 1000 series before upgrading.

Bullshot accusations in a pc screenshot thread are always so fucking adorable. :3

Here we go again. Waiting for the inevitable jim 12K downsamples where he points out how bad certain visuals are, never, EVER giving the artists of any game any credit.

Especially when running console ports, or open world games and expecting every blade of grass to be the most technically advanced asset to feature in your screenshots.

Devs must fucking hate you dude.

Glad someone said it.

this is sweet...looks nice, will triple dip.... i think soon after the PC release, we will get some info on Story DLC.. I wonder if Rockstar plans to continue with the Trio or new characters for DLC?

On one hand, you have a bunch of people calling bullshots at these, saying the game will look much worse than that. I bet the devs and artists love those poeple :P And here I was defending the game by saying these are not bullshots.

What I find funny is that you'll call me out for "misrepresenting games" with my own "bullshots," even though I defend those by saying they still represent the game because they capture the original in-game assets, just from different angles. Hell, the only reason I take screenshots is to show off the art in games and I believe you can do that while still finding fun camera angles to do it from.

But here I say these are not bullshots because I noticed a few nasty assets that most promo screenshot artists would hide, and I still get called out. Lulz.

Anywho, that's enough GTA5 threads for me. Every time it's the same thing. "Bullshots." "Show me real gameplay shots." Etc etc. I'll wait til the game is out and we can all judge it then.

It's the area called Paleto Forest just north of the sawmill near the top of the map.

It doesn't look as good with as much foliage on the current gen consoles, so that's why you may not recognize it.

Actually PS4 has lots of foliage it's just how it's captured i've never seen it. They make it look like it's an actual huge forest when it's not lol.

Looks awesome. I haven't owned a console while it has been out so I've never had a chance to play it. Hopefully it's a good port with not so bad DRM!

I'm not seeing anything bullshot worthy unless for example the crowded sidewalk is not representative. You could call that possibly staged. Everything else looks to be fairly raw in game, very normal in terms of the graphics. I think it looks good for a updated GTA game but obviously showing its age being mostly built for last gen.

I didn't get this on PS4 because I was waiting for PC. Am I going to do alright with dual 570Ms? I assume my i7 4700 and 16GB RAM will be sufficient.

I won't triple dip. I won't triple dip. I won't triple... Fuuuucccck who am I kidding?

Having eyegasms looking at these pics

I would say I can't wait, but I have been waiting for the PC version ever since 5 was first announced for the last gen consoles.

Eitherway, I'm getting this as soon as it finally drops. GTA4 remains one of my favorite games of all time (and yes, I've been with the series since the demo dropped for the original Grand Theft Auto).

If you get good SLI scaling you'll have the equivalent of a GTX 580, but that isn't much better than what's in the PS4. 1.5GB of vram might be a problem. I don't think SLI will work that well so you might be stuck with GTX 460 type performance with one 570m.

Be interesting to hear how it goes for you. Best case would be something similar to XB1/PS4 settings if GTA follows many multiplats this gen. You just need 7850/660/570/580 desktop type performance to replicate current gen consoles and in theory you nearly have that if SLI works. PS4 seems a better option unless you want to mod or don't mind dropping some settings down a bit.

Prob run it on low-medium

Gotcha. Thank you for letting me know! Main reason for avoiding PS4 at this point is my roommates use it as a Netflix machine all the time and I'm at my PC most of the day.

Ah, sorry, I didn't get very good sleep last night and I misunderstood. I can get by at medium, that's not too bad. Is this going to support 2560 x 1080?

That's ultrawide isn't it?

I assume that if they support typical ratio 4K then they might support just about any resolution, although wider ones like that I wouldn't be certain about.

It really does look nice and but I just don't want to play/pay through GTA V a 3rd time. Look forward to seeing everybody's screenshots though!

I really hope the 660 recommendation for maximum settings is serious. It gives me hope that i will be able to max out this game with my 960. I don't go over 1080p anyway. Also, a 4th gen i5 and 16GB RAM would also help eliminate any bottlenecks.
