Reads straight to me. She did the VO work awhile ago and now that the hype train is chugging along rabid GTA fans are blowing her twitter up looking for any information that she may have gleaned from her part. Probably didn't realize how big GTA is to gaming fans, signed a NDA and wondered why they were keeping everything so hush hush..

She could have voiced Amanda and various NPCs. You usually use actors you already have around for those. BioWare uses huge casts (Dragon Age: Origins has ~140 unique actors) and you still encounter repeats.

Judging by the trailers so far, Michael's wife is a pretty big character in the game. There's no way that voice actor doesn't even know her name. Besides, didn't all the big characters required the voice actors to do the motion capture?

That's what I thought. You only have to realise that you are voice-acting for the video game.
Keep on Rockstar's good side and they might let you have a piece of that residual honey ... maybe ... probably not.
(On the latter point, I wouldn't be surprised if they were doing facial capture. That seems to have improved from Trailer 2 to the protagonist trailers).

They're ALWAYS doing voice overs. James McCaffrey was still recording stuff for Max Payne 3 like 2 months out. Even when the mo-cap is finished they're recording stuff, or doing ADR on mo-cap sessions, or ad-libbing, or w/e.
Nah, they've probably just been touching up the facial animation.

You what would be amazing? If Rockstar patched out GFWL from GTA IV the way some other developers have been lately. I know that is is almost certainly not going to happen but it would rejuvenate the PC MP situation. I'd love to have the ability to just set up a GAF server and have people join without dealing with invites and what not.

Going by this video UrbanRats linked to and her IMBD page, she's a comedic actress. Since this is a Rockstar game, the NDA for her must be strict, but people have figured out that she's working on GTA (maybe) and are probably messaging her for details.
Her other tweets definitely sound like she's joking, so I doubt she just doesn't care.

And even if she doesn't care. No biggy. Tons of people do good work without being fully invested or really caring deeply. Hell she could still be really invested in it and not really like it. Stranger things have happened. As long as the game is good. I am all over it.

I'm happy they moved away from hollywood self important pricks, though i have a few names i'd love to have voicing the game.
To be fair, games now are more popular than ever, and even Hollywood actors (with Call of Duty and such) are getting the memo.
But really, if you have to cut money somewhere, that's the first place to do it, plus giving the gig to who really needs it, people with the same talent but without the "name".
