Hopefully they are aware of how most people feel about the PC release of GTAIV. Their lack of comments on a PC release don't have me feeling good.
At the time of GTAIV's PC release, a developer from R* Toronto (who did the port) came on GTAForums, to help people troubleshooting and that usual stuff.
I can't find the exact message now (don't really want to dig through tens of pages) but i remember him commenting that he was sorry for the shoddy port and that "for the next GTA" they would've had much more experience and would've used all the tricks in the bag (mentioning DX11 and stuff).
Now that was.. 2008/2009, so i don't know how much of it was just damage control bullshit, but given the amazing work on Max Payne 3, it makes me hope.
Ballad of Gay Tony was also a better port than GTAIV.
Sure, in between those you have RDR (no port at all) and LA Noire (abysmal port, though it wasn't a RAGE game) so everything is always up in the air.
My guess is that GTAV is their little treasured child, and they want to provide the best product possible with it, so they're probably focusing 120% of their workforce on making it run decently on Ps360, while at the same time they don't want to do another PC shoddy port, and that's why they'll take their time with it.. once the console version is out.
That, or.. they just don't give a fuck about PC, depends what side of the glass you want to see.
I'm also positive a PC port will come out. Somewhere around April of next year.
Next gen I'm not as convinced, but Mark Cerny has said PC to PS4 ports are very simple because of PS4'a architecture, so we'll see.
Consider the fact that this is a huge investment for Take2, they will want to get as much mileage as possible out of this one.
You don't release a game this big and just forgot about it, is what i'm saying.
