Source, with 159 Jade screens to view.

Looking good (ok, a little blurry but we'll blame that on the method the images were extracted)... This game has "must-have" written all over it.

An older one just to compare... (ignoring blurriness of course)

Overall, I think image quality has been consistent.

Bioware can do no wrong. This isn't Climax doing their 1st rpg. As Bioware's games of the year before it Jade Empire will be great.

The RPG portion doesn't worry me at all - Bioware knows their craft. To come out of nowhere with a new fighting engine, however, does raise alarm bells. I hope they just steal Soul Calibur-style gameplay wholesale and leave it at that.

I think the combat will probably end up as an element that doesnt blow you away, and isnt terrible, but really you just play to get to the story segment.

That's all im hoping for anyway.

I have little doubts about BioWare's ability to make a quality RPG. The story will be top notch, and a number of other elements will be great too. The fighting system will most likely be similar to the one used in KOTOR. I doubt very much it'll be a real time system like those found in fighting games. It just doesn't seem to be their style.

On the other hand, the graphics so far don't seem to be that much of a leap over KOTOR either. I was hoping to see some upgraded visuals, but some of the shots have looked kinda bland IMHO. I do admit that the visual effects for the spells/special attacks look nice and the animation for the fighting styles on their website look great as well.

As someone who has trained in the martial arts, watches kung fu movies, and has been to China and trained at the Shaolin Temple, this game is definetly on my must own list. Can't wait.

KOTOR graphics was shit but that did'nt stop it from being a top game...

I wouldn't go so far as to say they were shit, but they were bland at times and could have been better, but with the RPG engine running underneath the combat and skills, it was a very good combo for me. It didn't hurt that the story was better then the recent Star Wars films as well. :)
