Dragon's Dogma 2 has probably been the best showcase for PS5 Pro so far. At times it almost looks a generation ahead of the base PS5 version.
The graphic mode maybe can salvage with VRR. Don't know the exact frame rate but appear to run below 60. Maybe 40 to 60. Still, balance mode look and run alot better than the base consoles.

These recordings are very low bitrate and then also compressed from Youtube.

Also the DD2 footage looks washed out due to his settings or something else on his end.
TLOU2 looks even worst than other 2 games listed here.

Hey, this all we got right now. At least frame rate is not affect by this.

Hah, you're right. I had only watched DD2.

This guy either uses really fucked up settings for brightness or he has something wonky going on with HDR output, but not recording HDR on his footage.

If the PS5 Pro is on par with a 4070 Super(like DF and others have claimed?), why limited the FPS in games like DD2 to 60? It should be able to to 120fps just fine with some FSR/PSSR upscaling.

Very good to see console gamers getting out of "30 fps hell"!
Should be a very nice upgrade for everyone who plays console only this.

DF said 4070, not 4070S. NxGamer speculated 4070S.

First, the CPU is the same as PS5 and second, it does not mount that magical and powerful “4070 super” that makes Dragon Dogma 2 run at 120fps :messenger_tears_of_joy: It`s equivalent to a “4070” at most “4070ti” but real, not magic.

50/60fps is a reasonable target.

120fps in dragons dogma 2? Have you seen how CPU limited Vermund is?

The variable framerate in Dragon's Dogma 2 may very well be worse than a locked 30fps.

Apparently it's still rendering, the Spiderman 2 video is in HDR and looks great ->

Yea. Look world apart from the washed out version. The fidelity mode look really really good in still though. I think some people can stomach the frame rate and run it at 40fps mode.

I see. I'm kinda out of touch on this new pro console, but thought I read somewhere that it's performance was similar to a 4070 Super rig.
As someone here now mentioned it seemed to be a regular 4070 not the S variant. Then it makes more sense.
Also, yeah that PS5 cpu is not exactly cutting edge.

I was just curious since DD2 runs at 120+ fps on my 4070 Super rig. (In 1440p with DLSS on quality).
I do however have a 7600 Zen 4 cpu, which is not exactly high end, but miles better than the ps5/pro cpu.

You're probably using frame generation to get to 120.

I have a 4060 and I don't believe that you can get between 60 or 70fps more, I just don't believe it.

Processed with HDR.

Damn, the Graphics mode look great, come pretty close to 4k DLSS quality. Maybe between balance and quality. If the frame rate stay in the VRR range, then it is a no brainer to play this mode.

The frame rate mode look OK, but butter smooth. I think most people will go for the balance mode. It basically the most balance with Graphics and frame rate.

Interesting. It seems that you can turn off ray tracing in the graphics mode and the balance mode.

For the graphics mode, if people want images quality, turn off RT may get this mode closer to 60fps.

They are all looking pretty great.

I’ll certainly be downloading Spider-Man 2 on Thursday, along with GT7, FF7:R and Formula 1 24. After that, I’m not sure. I’m kind of intrigued by Alan Wake 2. No doubt I’ll be spending the first few days just checking out the new graphic settings.

Most of the other games in my digital collection, like BG 3 and DD2 I’ll eventually get around to.

I am wondering if the RT in GT7 will appear in VR. It’s crazy that I have so many questions so close to release.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Yeah I'm not sure what I am looking at here, videos are heavy compress, I'm sure it looks great on their TV but it's not demonstrating anything in good light.
In fact everything including the PS4 Enhanced Mode has been poorly demonstrated so far.
