Hi thanks for contacting NEOGAF USER AIAdobe: "We're adding AI to monitor and help you"
Audacity: "We're adding AI to monitor and help you"
Windows: "We're adding AI to monitor and help you"
Call me cynical but it feels like AI is being used as an excuse to add more tracking software to our devices, why do most things suddenly need an AI?
I remember how hopeful we were for OS like Red Hat Linux back in 1997… now 25 years later and we are saying the exact same words as back then. It’s ridiculous that Linux is still so difficult to use.My main non-gaming PC (that I'm typing on right now) is Linux. Ain't slick enough for the average user, I'm afraid.
Linux is the way it is because there is no commercial interest in making a pretty, easy to use desktop version of it. If someone thought there was money in making a UNIX-like OS that was also a great desktop OS, they would have already done it -----I remember how hopeful we were for OS like Red Hat Linux back in 1997… now 25 years later and we are saying the exact same words as back then. Proton isnt ideal, native is.With the advances in Proton thanks to Valve's push for the Steam Deck, Linux is by far the preferable alternative. I'd look into that before I looked into Mac gaming, 100%.
I think its user friendly these days, mint, ubuntu, etc are very user friendly. i think that is why there is a big growth with linux this past year.Linux has come a long way, but I don't think it will ever be user friendly enough to be mainstream. Besides, most people would just rather use Windows.

Microsoft don’t make keyboards they make an OS. Why should an OS manufacturer force a keyboard manufacturer to put its key onto their keyboard?I don't get, why is this a problem?
Yeah..I must be outraged over this...but we are slaves to AI now.
We work for skynet now.

When is the pornhub edition? Far more useful for most I'd bet.Saw this on Reddit
BEHOLD
That's going to still be there, looks like an alt key will go. If you turn this shit off apparently the copilot key will launch windows search. Pretty pointless when win+s does that already but guess i'm getting another way to open search..........I bet it will just replace the windows key
Good call - people pressing it inadvertently still believing it is.I bet it will just replace the windows key
It replaces the right ctrl, that noone ever used.Hope I can program it to any other function I want, more keys are always a good thing.
Just do a built in microphone so AI/assistants/whatever can work as on phones instead.
