Japan is a waste of time for them. The only way to change the perception would be to buy Sega. I think one of the issues Microsoft needs to sort out is Xbox Live and what it offers and what it means outside of the U.S.

There's probably some marketing clause which doesn't allow them to announce one next-gen version without the other - especially if Microsoft have paid to have the exclusive reveal tomorrow. The reveal will focus on Durango but the PR afterwards will include the PS4, along with current gen systems. Count on it.
