If you want an actual answer: I was introduced to FF when I was 6. My brother was renting Final Fantasy X. I think when I saw the opening cinematic I received the biggest dopamine boost ever experienced in human history. Ever since then I've had an obsession with CG cutscenes.

I think XVI is beautiful, but I still want CG cutscene eye candy.

IIRC there was an interview with Famitsu that stated the previous trailer was 95% in-game, with the other 5% being pre-rendered footage with CG background elements. The same interview stated that the Square Enix CG team is still working on CG character models, so I'm hoping for some cinematics.

I'm not asking for dozens like prior FF's (though that would be very nice), but like 6ish memorable ones would be awesome.

Eh, the cutscenes they did show looked amazing to me, even in FF7 intergrade they made all the cutscenes real time

Because CG cutscenes are eye candy and I'm not a boring person that claims "in-game is good enough" because it really isn't

? No they didn't lol VII Intergrade has 7 CG cutscenes.
