Im going to be perfectly blunt with you here. No.
The reason being that even TODAY, a FOURTEEN terror flopping console is going to be stupidly expensive, to the point that it's far beyond a mass adoption rate and would likely stall at retail. But two years ago? Even worse.
This is the problem many face. They think that 13.8 tf is "only" 1.8tf more than a 12tf console, and if Xbox can do that, then why not? Well because what Xbox are doing is pretty much about as high as you can push things before you start running into problems. Heat, yields, they all add up, and even though it's perfectly possible to throw more CUs at higher speeds into there, it becomes less feasible very quickly.
Now notice I haven't said impossible. It's possible. Anything is. But the higher you go in spec, the harder It becomes to reach, exponentially almost, because you are approaching the maximum threshold that the hardware will allow. And once you do that, you need to start over and reach those goals both effectively and within a reachable budget.
Is a 13.8 tf PS5 possible? Yes, absolutely. but the yields on the chips will be so low, that you're looking at a crazy expensive piece of kit. And while there are quite clearly people on this board who would sell their own grandmothers to buy one at any cost, you aren't selling to your rabbid fan boy base - you're making something that has to be successful on a mass market level.
so 13.8tf? At $500? Jesus... I can't even think about the loses they would have to take.
