That 17% difference is during its boost clock at 10.3 tf. You're looking at a 31% difference in reality when you compare it to Xbox's 12.1 tf and the PS5s native 9.2 tf.
"Native".... c'mon dude....

SSD isn't gonna make as much difference as people think. You'll likely get slightly faster loading and asset loading that won't matter that much. But the SSD speed and Ram being equal this time while Xbox had much slower ram last time should equal things out more as well
Really curious
He really wasn't. Only the desperate few believed in him for some reason. He flat out sent fake DS5 images toIf so he just is litterally having the last laugh .. along with the MisterXmedia crew.
It's going to make a large difference to asset streaming onto that relatively small 16GB RAM that both have, as you traverse the open worlds, streaming those assets into RAM you will notice.SSD isn't gonna make as much difference as people think. Ok ...
CPU: Zen 2 16 Threads - 3.4ghz
GPU: RDNA2 52 CU - 1.75GHz (11.6TF)
RAM: 20GB - 16GB GDDR6 + 4GB DDR4
STORAGE: 1TB SSD, 5.5GB/s
It's basically the TF difference between PRO and X1XThe difference in power is not huge, so people need to chill. Yes XBSX holds the overall performance crown, but Sony will put those 10.2 Teraflops to great use thanks in part that people will be able to build games exclusively for the new hardware from the get go where as Microsoft will stay fully multi-platform for a couple of years.
Basically Sony will have exclusives that take full advantage of the new hardware where as Xbox Series X will literally just scale up games built around the limitations of the base XB1. This makes a huge difference in terms of exclusives.
I'm waiting for that Osiris guy to upload the "video proof" he had of PS5 insider info at 12.4 or 12.6 tf. He also publicly bragged he knew info and said something like this to a mod "I'm going to PM you info!!!!".I'm waiting for my apology for getting pounced on by fanboys for calling out @OsirisBlack andHeisenbergFX4 on their shit. And @BGs can be thrown in there too

And since its Azure, it'll be the same cloud from 2013!Sony gonna bust out the power of the cloud somewhere down the line
I think so, I'll have to rewatch it.oh changing clocks when gets to hot ?
"When that worst case game arrives, it will run at a lower clock speed. But not too much lower, to reduce power by 10 per cent it only takes a couple of percent reduction in frequency, so I'd expect any downclocking to be pretty minor," he explains. "All things considered, the change to a variable frequency approach will show significant gains for PlayStation gamers."
Sony's pitch is essentially this: a smaller GPU can be a more nimble, more agile GPU, the inference being that PS5's graphics core should be able to deliver performance higher than you may expect from a TFLOPs number that doesn't accurately encompass the capabilities of all parts of the GPU. Developers work to the power limits of the SoC, their workloads affecting frequencies on the fly - but it's those factors that impact the clock speeds, not ambient temperatures.
Down clocks will be minor, Tflops don't tell the whole story. This is something we've been repeatedly warned about.
Dude called it. For those who are extremely disappointed, I'm sure there's more to console hardware engineering than a Tflop number.
Sony definitely screwed up on the marketing end. This shouldn't have been how they broke their silence to their wider audience.
honestly im not sure i can agree on all of that. just reading through their talk on the ps5, it seems sony went for pure efficiency as much as possible.Come on, you know what's gonna happen. More framerate drops on the PS5, effects turned off, hell some devs might even disable RT on the PS5 version LOL.
Actually all I wanna do is gloating. My damn mobile made me banned on the other place today, so I have to do it here ....

Pushed on Sent by accident, wanted to add the spoiler but was distracted by my job, just did that and boom a ban LOL
On multiplats*SSD isn't gonna make as much difference as people think. You'll likely get slightly faster loading and asset loading that won't matter that much.
Okay, so I said it wouldn't be that low. Might have got that guess slightly wrong, because I'm incredibly surprised that 9.5ish TF is the base of the PS5's GPU, 10.2 on boost. I can't believe that github appeared to be, well, nigh on correct. What sort of TF number would make a 'PS Warrior' sad? 9TF yeah I can understand, but it won't be that low, not in a million years.
I'm guessing same as Series X when some wanted 13 guessed or something.
Regardless, the reveal can't come quick enough. Roll on next gen.
No lol, that 16GB operates at much higher bandwidth. It will help, but SSD speed is very low compared to GDDR6.It's going to make a large difference to asset streaming onto that relatively small 16GB RAM that both have, as you traverse the open worlds, streaming those assets into RAM you will notice.
Spencer said they won't be beat on price or power again. This could be a big win at launch for MS/Xbox this gen. Word of mouth is already flying on sites like this and twitter.Microsoft learned for the pricing of last gen. I don't expect a big price difference. Microsoft did every step right this far. They'll not screw up the price.
yes, theres always a point in a cheap $299 entry way to next genBeing that the Xbsx is 12.1 tf and a powerhouse, the ps5 is also a very powerful 10tf machine where does this leave the Lockhart? Is there a point in a 4-5tf Lockhart?
So much for PS5 having superior Ray Tracing.
Microsoft had to come out ahead, and they did. And they'll get my money first. But don't count out PS5, it is going to be incredible. A lot of people will prefer those lightning fast load times to a barely noticeable difference in raytracing or particle effects. Sony's machine is no slouch at all. Everybody wins, lets celebrate!
Good.Many people aren't happy

Damn. The things Naughty Dog could do with the XSX.
He's annoying on both sites. Maybe Era gave him too much of an egoMod of War can we ban this dude yet? All he does is come here to gloat and he's even admitting to it.
When we read 800GB, i suppose we think about that number in relation to game sizes today, so not many games fitting in that space. What should have been explained is the difference between a game of old and a game of new (which removes duplication of data) to enable us to see the size difference.Wait 800GB SSD ? WTF

Did you not see the GPU clock though? I'm skeptical.PS5 looking amazing, awesome specs, SSD looks phenomenal, GPU 10.3 is super great. Also maybe they can hit that 399? who knows
Also Cerny is promising a not noisy console, that also super great.
The only disappointment is still no ps123 BC, hope they still working on it and will come later on.
