So because you haven't seen many black people in the area you live in there couldn't have been any or many in the medieval times. You should review history and it will tell you that Black people were around in Europe even during the medieval times and that they were just left out of the history because of a certain agenda. So why are the game creators being made a villain or woke because they "paste" a black npc in the game. All in all it does seem like some people who play games play them based on their own ideals instead or playing them for entertainment.

Back to the systems I think the PS5 will come with a price tag of $400-$450. But I already know a couple of people who already set $700 as their base spending budget for it. How will that $700 go, right now hopefully at least 2 games and they system.

I think he is supposing that 8 A.M PST Sony will talk about the event, since they usually release information at this time and on Tuesdays, and well, it is possible, I just don't think it is good to raise the hype too much. Better to remain skeptical in those hours.

I just don't see them referring to the comic series as a sequel, that's a dumb thing to do if that turns out to be the case since the second game is most likely in development, which also happens to be a sequel.

As a side-note... No one finds it weird that Sony is advertising the PS5 with its controller rather than with the console? The controller must have some real secret sauce in it. I've never seen so much secrecy regarding the looks of a console. Maybe it's a strategy to get people hyped up about its looks? It can kind of backfire though, if it's not as great as people are hoping for or speculating with their own design models. Sony's either really confident or they're hiding something.

These consoles come out in like 6-7 months.. will probably be fully revealed with 5+ months left..

Nobody will remember this alleged "secrecy"once everything is revealed and we all sat around for months and months waiting for the release lol

Right. Usually the white executives, producers, casters, project leads, financers etc. who virtue-signal to speak on the behalf of minorities they don't even associate with outside of the virtue-signaling and generally don't care about the stuff these types want to virtue-signal.

Well, this is kind of ignoring interactions between European, African, Arab, and Asian merchants, traders, royalty etc. that would often travel across routes and sometimes pay visits to one-another but if you're talking about medieval stuff outside of that grander scope, or maybe focused on inter-European factions at war, sure that makes sense.

Up to '90s/'00s, though? For European countries, I'm assuming? That would be a harder sell except for very select places like probably Germany before the collapse of the Berlin Wall.

Anecdotals are a flaky way of evaluating this. I hadn't seen an Asian person until I was maybe 12 or probably even 14. This is in America, mind you. Does that mean there were only a handful of Asian people around the country during the '90s and '00s?

This kind of skirts into the territory of using lack of reflection of exact reality as a talking point against certain creative choices being made these days, when the point of entertainment is more meant to be an escape from reality.

Depending on the nature of the story and what narrative and themed elements it's using, you could kinda put a fat person in Lara's place to do those things. You'd just need to put some dash of comedy into it because the idea itself will naturally generate a chuckle from people and some subtle acknowledgement of that is a good thing by creators who know the nature of their own work.

Again, it comes down to the narrative and thematic context of the story and if the creators are well-aware enough of any ironies in their concept to play on them within means of the natural those narrative and thematic elements instinctively conjure in the end-user.

Ruin? It's already affected plenty of games, and sadly Sony has been a proponent of it from a platform-holder POV especially regarding censorship in quite a few Japanese games. But this is the kind of stuff people invariably invite as gaming becomes more mainstream, and budgets continue to swell in size. It turns big studios and publishers away from doing risky projects, in fear they could alienate a sizable segment of their market and lose money on the investment.

That is AAA gaming in a nutshell, particularly with many Western devs. There's also the fact that in regards to many games set in historical periods, a lot of devs simply don't do enough research and might not have an interest in staying to complete historical accuracy. Given the purpose of a game is to entertain, I'm sure some would be entertained plenty by 100% historically-accurate stuff but they fall within the minority of overall gaming populations.

They did the same with the PS4. Back then, they showed the controller first to tout the "share" feature.

I think what he was trying to say and illustrate (I might be wrong) is that a game set in Europe during that time, like say Kingdom Come: Deliverance, would not have a large number of non-European characters. Certainly they existed back then, but in lesser numbers than today. Yet, you had people criticizing that game for not featuring more non-European characters. It would be the same thing if you were playing a game set during the dynasties of the Pharaoh's in Egypt, but were expected to have a bunch of blond, blue-eyed characters. Sure there likely WERE a few back then, but not nearly in large numbers. Anyway, that's what I thought he meant.

I still expect the PS5 to come in at $399 or very close to it. I think that was their target in any case, but we'll see. Normal supply challenges, not to mention this virus outbreak may definitely affect both company's pricing strategies. I thought that MS was targeting a $499 price point and now I think that they are likely to be a bit above THAT due to all of these issues. Time will tell!

But the PS4 didn't have an event to show games and some features, for later at E3 they revealed the design plus the price, plus a few more games? Don't have the possibility of this happening again on PS5?A May Livestream to demonstrate the OS, talk about the launch line-up games, among other things, for in the beginning of June a bigger event talking about launch details, price, maybe acquired devs etc.
 
Ok serious question here, who pre-ordered TLOU2 before the new date was announced and still haven't gotten a refund yet? Because I still haven't and now it says I'm not eligible to pre-order the game.

There is no need to copy between the 3.5GB and 10GB pool, the GPU and CPU have access to both. The XSX bandwidth won't be lower than the PS5's, it will be higher, even with the split pool and even in the worst-case scenario (which is unaccessible 128-bit every time the 3.5GB is being accessed) in case MS didn't solve that problem (we don't know yet). If MS did, it's 560GB/s all the time, if it didn't then contingency might make it around 480GB/s when it happens.

The data coming off the PCIe isn't 9GB/s, last time I've checked no game streams that amount of data during gameplay because games aren't built for SSDs yet. And yes, 20GB/s is the peak, but even at 10GB/s, it's a serious hog.

That I haven't seen for myself, but people with the original files said the newest data is from early 2019, around January or February. So we know that at the beginning of 2019 Oberon B0 has 532GB/s and in July 2019 Flute had 532GB/s. That's at minimum months.

It's not the more GPU that needs it, it's the more taxing work. If you run Half-Life 2 on a 2080 ti, it doesn't need its' 616GB/s bandwidth while if you run Control at 4K on a 2060RTX, it needs every drop of that 336GB/s. What I mean by that is if PS5 games are running at a lower resolution than XSX games, you are right. If both machines are trying to run the same game in the same graphical settings? Well, then the memory bandwidth will become a problem.

We also know that Ariel B0, Oberon A0, and Oberon B0 were PS5, so I'm not sure why you think that unless you don't know the leak very well. All three had a BC0 mode with 18 CUs active running at 800Mhz with 32 ROPs and 176GB/s memory bandwidth - sounds familiar? They also had BC1 mode with 36 active CUs running at 911Mhz with 64 ROPs and 217.6GB/s - sounds familiar? And how about the actual word "SIE" appearing in the comments? You should let it go, there is not a single doubt that Sparkman/Arden are the next-gen Xbox chips and Ariel/Oberon are the PS5 chips.

And all these extra details are supposed to run on a weaker GPU with lower memory bandwidth? Each console has its' own bottlenecks and in the end, you will see extremely similar results. So as I've said, if you are expecting major differences between the systems, you will be disappointed.
