Infamous 1 was an interesting experiment. 2 was one of the very, very few open world games I ever enjoyed. SS was a bland tech demo with interesting gameplay ideas smashed by omissions that made 2 a great game. So, this is another monster graphic by SWWS and another goddamned open world game in this open world games generation.

I don't really get the logic; "biggest moment" could mean anything.. so why does that suddenly lead people to think it's not a game announcement?

What about hardware is going to provide one of the "biggest moments" of the summer? It's also just really unlikely anything hardware related would show up on a random Wed. as part of "Summer of Gamesfest" and not something from Sony or MS directly.

You're missing the point. Just look at the messaging of today's reveal vs. tomorrow's reveal. Like aside from the extra hype being put alongside tomorrow's event. It's completely different. Today was a "game reveal + interview" tomorrow's a "showcase + interview". Whenever Keighley references tomorrow's event he also never references that its a game like he did today. This isn't difficult.

Maybe you're right, at the end of the day it could very well be just a game, albeit a big one. But I don't understand how you fail to see how people think it COULD be something else in light of how it's been represented.

I'm hoping this whole "future tech" thing is referring to Starfield. I feel like that would be a pretty significant showcase....I feel like that would even be less likely than a PS5 console reveal though. Haha.

In reality though....it's probably just the rumored Mass Effect remaster.
