So we should finally hear about this.

This event just about game. UI and other stuff are in august

it was really in engine but not running real-time on XSX .. it was likely running on high end PC and it has some tricks and flaws there and there .. DF point that out here :

you can run an in-engine offline render at whatever framerate you want and speed it up later. and that's exactly what this industry has been doing for years. the notion that such things must run in realtime on any highend PC is complete bullshit.

that said a 2080ti-based high end pc wouldn't be that much more powerful than xbsx anyways considering rdna 2 IPC improvements.

They're trying to counter.

I have a dilemma. Watch tomorrow morning and rush to work not having a chance to fully digest it all or go to work, get hyped during the day by browsing little snippets of GAF and come home and relax by watching the show.

🤔

Neat! My allergies have caused me to sleep 2-3 hours for the past couple of days, and the reveal is at 11 pm in my country. Which means I'll probably won't sleep again because of the excitement!

I wonder if PS5 will support vita remote play or phones only

I would bet that it supports remote play for sure. Hopefully even improved remote play support for PC, Mac and phones as well! I think we'll have BC with PS4 titles (pretty evident) but I think we're going to find out some surprises about the storage system. Hopefully at least a little info on expanding the storage space as well.

Would be cool if they switched to higher speed memory modules, but not likely. I think the 3D audio is going to be HUGE this gen. If they're so confident that they want people to use headphones for the presentation, I would think that it means this is a really big deal.

Can't wait! Oh and I think it will be $499 most likely. A modest increase compared to the PS4 release price. I think pre-orders will at least be announced for a specific date, if it's not live tomorrow. Should be a ton of games shown and I expect details about the UI to be minimal with 'more to come,' but we'll get to see SOME of it. Probably see some insane loading speeds and the like, just not FOCUSED on that. We will see! Looking forward to this...will really put some positive spin on my day!

I expect what they show to be very strong but what they show from first party will be farther out than people expect. Plus I don't expect more than 2-3 first party games and the rest of will be third party.

According to one rumour back before the June 4 date, Sony had ditched 3rd parties who couldn't show stuff running on PS5 (because of how bad the Xsex reveal was).

I don't think we are going to see that many 3rd parties - only exclusives/2nd parties.

Could explain the relative shortness of the prezzo. However the Dorito guy has a pre-show and after show where we could see more!

More "concerns" about next-gen games running at 30fps: it's an aesthetic choice to be "filmic", like pixel art, but also constrained by what TVs people have. A popular line of cheap TVs can only do 4:2:0 HDR @ 4K 60hz. If a game pushes HDR, 4:2:2 @ 4K 30hz helps more people see it.

Wow, so much FUD out of a couple of tweets. Those guys really do some impressive work. (y)

You can't recommend cheap TVs just because you get a good one. This things vary between price and region. You need at least have a knowledge about TVs and make a research before look for a cheap TV. High end 4K TVs on the other hand pretty much hard to miss.
TCL and Hisense are both great. Best price to performance.
