Very much looking forward to game updates but I would much rather see an actual teardown of the console... hopefully they will release a video of that goodness between now and launch.

I've always assumed that when consoles go all digital that they would make retail boxes with download codes inside. That would be ok with shops I suppose, plus they can still have lower prices like now with physical...

I never resell games really and I like to put the boxes on a shelf (and like a little kid I also like the receiving a parcel and open it like it's Christmas morning! Oh and sniff it of course) and this would solve all my objections with an all digital future

Nothing wrong with favoring one console or the other, i favor Xbox but also enjoy playstation first party. I will say though that you are one of the nicer PS fans on this board and I enjoy your posts 👍

They said they would not do that, the preorder now thing.
Also it's only 40 minutes so probably only games

I can be a dick sometimes but I try to avoid personal attacks no matter how much I don't like the other person.

Over the past few weeks all this waiting had me pretty irritated. Finally it's over.

to answer with a car example,
just because one person has a porsche and a ferrari, there is no obligation or even expectation that he should like both equally.
most probably he likes more what gives him more pleasure.
and that situation is completely different from a porsche-only owner that hates ferraris with a passion.

Xbox One has been selling at 250/300$ for years now, hasn't done shit for sales. People don't buy things in a vacuum, these aren't cellphones where some old dude might say "I need a phone", and then he enters the store and buys a 50$ phone.

Owning something does not mean lack of bias. Everyone has a bias. Its no secrete that i have a PlayStation bias as they were the first proper console I started playing on growing up. But i also owned and Play Nintendo games from NES, Gameboy, DS, 3DS, Wii, Switch. One of my favorite games this generation is Ori and the blind forest and I'm typing this on a windows PC on which I have a rather extensive library of games.

It is one thing to have a bias which everyone does, it is another to let your bias cloud your judgement as is evident with a lot of people. It becomes very obvious when someone's bias is clouding their judgement.
