I've already posted sources. The game is standalone, and between 7-10 hours long. You're saying nothing new, or teaching me anything.

I have some reservations for the build quality, given sony's recent past.
but both machines, actually all four machines S included, are a big step up from what you have here and now.

If the two are that close I would consider them pretty much equal. Plus we all know the PS5 as an advantage with the I/O so you can't say the XSX is better in every single way. Heck that I/O can lead to other advantages in the UI for example. Then you compare the controllers neither one is superior in every way than the other. Like the Haptics are better in the DualSense but the battery life is longer in the XSX controller.

So its in this DF video. They talk about the Xbox UI starting at around 9 mins in.

Its not 100% confirmed but they say its likely to remain 1080p. They made this video after going hands on with the new Xbox.

Seems logical if the One X didn't get a 4K UI, why would the SeriesX? And the S won't need it.

x has ~45% more compute units and ~25% bandwidth over ps5. and a fixed performance on that gap.
that ain't changing no matter what.
there is a reason that sony does not want to do a hardware stripdown, and the sooner you get to grips with it, the better.

At this point I'm convinced nobody is in the loop when it comes to Sony, other than Sony. They're NDAs and general attitude towards the games press is not open at all.

Well then Sonys I/O advantage isn't changing no matter what as well. The sooner you accept that the better.

Anyways I already accepted the Xboxs advantages but can you accept the PS5s?

Unless you can prove me wrong that is and then I'll admit the XSX I/O is better.

Eric Lempel (head of PS marketing) said the first time he saw the PS5, he had to go to a floor in Sony HQ he'd never been to before and it was all guarded inside a locked room. They apparently did not even tell him he was going to see it when they summoned him to the room.

It seems Sony doesn't really fuck around with leaks. They like their secrets. Must be the culture there.
 
I'll be ecstatic if Demon Souls is a launch game!!! That alone would give me hundreds of hours of play time add Spiderman/Ratchet and I'm a super happy gamer, everything else is just gravy.

All this time only top tier execs like Shu and others have been in the know. I doubt more than four or five people knew Sony's calendar of strategy besides the people that really really needed to know. No one on these sites really knew anything when it came to Sony's plan.

All I see with all those spec advantages is a lack of games. Sony is going to show more games while Microsoft talks about price, 4k, 1440p, 120 fps, HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, BC, Game Pass, etc. Basically everything to distract from the fact that they have no next gen games. When you can show us the spec advantage in a game being shown playing on a Xbox Series X, then we can talk.

Yeah, the Japanese are best described as 'guarded' when it comes to the relationships they have with other organisations, especially those from other countries. Not out of rudeness, they're a very private lot. Extremely professional though.

Fun fact - No game published by Microsoft has ever been nominated for Game of the Year at The Game Awards. 6 years, 32 nominees, (+6 more this year), and still Xbox can't produce 1 game even close to a GOTY.

Phil seems to forget its about the games.

I feel that's true for 90% of people. When it comes to gaming I'm not like that. Except for PC gaming,I hate using a keyboard and mouse. I'm more about the games. There is Franchises I love on all 3 consoles. I will tend to buy more multiplayer games for the Xbox if my real life friends or going to be playing them and getting them. I also double dip or in the case of Diablo 3 quad drouple dip. I mean own Elder Scrolls Online on 3 different Platforms. I own all Sony exclusive this gen but 3. But I also noticed my friends are different on each console. My PS friend tend to be more Single Player minded gamers. I have a few Cod players on MY PS friends list. As my Xbox friends tend to want to play more multiplayer style games. Like Destiny, Cod and such. I bought the $80 edition of Marvels Avengers on Xbox first because I had more friends buying it on Xbox. Only had 2 friends bought it on PlayStation. I will be buying it on PlayStation also because of SpiderMan at some point.

But for the most part I believe people are more bias then they realize.

Advantage in computing performance is easy to proof. Sony still has to proof how I/O advantage relates. Personally, I believe that it's absolutely oversized, given the fact, that there is no single scenario where you can really take advantage over Microsoft's slower I/O solution. 4.8 GB/s is a hell amount of data. However, it will take until end 2021 before we see first next gen engines in action. Until then, we have to wait. My guess is still, that PS5 I/O is designed with mid-gen refresh in mind. I'm more worried about Microsoft game management. They are obviously in trouble. Although I am convinced that exclusive games are not everything ... they are part of the platforms it. The situation at Microsoft Studios is rather weak at the moment.

Why do people keep saying this when Playstation's management is dominated by Americans and Europeans lol. And besides, nothing of what Sony does wrt leaks even compares to what Apple do. They literally bar anyone from leaving work while they audit every single person's workstation and do full interrogations

Almost every apple product over the last 5+ years has leaked, so it doesn't work. As for Sony, it could be a workplace culture that was defined by their Japanese roots.

It really depends on how big the differences will be when it comes to comparisons. I don't know if it's as big as the XSX running everything at double the resolution and framerate, or if it's as small where the FPS is the same but you need to zoom in 300% to see the differences. It's kind of difficult to discuss this without any real comparisons besides just paper specs.

As for the I/O difference I know it's going to have an impact on the UI for sure. Maybe that's where we see the difference early on besides just faster loading in games.

geras 5 vs gears tactics, except of the universe these games are completely different genres/gameplay etc. But you know that, i am guessing that just wanted to shine with your comment, and if you think that fm and fh are not different then I am guessing that most of big Sony hitters are the same game for you (just applying same logic you did), actually there are more similarities between sony big hitters than between fm and fh

Dude its ok that you were wrong. Flight Sim and Gears Tactics are PC games. (And so are all Microsoft games now.)
