No offline mode? I don't remember that. I get it and will still buy it but I thought there'd be some level of offline play for solo.

Progression and unlocks are all server based. Even solo.

At least Warframe is free.

Not sure if I have missed something but earlier clips from Godfall were running at 60fps while all the recent Japanese captures showed the game running at 30fps. Have the developers mentioned if there will be multiple modes for this game?

I think you make a lot of assumptions. We haven't see a game built on Nanite/Lumen yet, nor have we seen what that runs like in a PC with direct storage. Nanite/Lumen support PC, these aren't PS5 specific features of UE5. Plus, I don't think we need to wait on the next series of cards, I think Nvidia has the consoles covered with the 3000 series. But the next series will really double down on that. If history is any guide, the next series of cards will be coming fairly soon (the 980 and 1080 launched about a year apart). Once next-gen only games start to be released AMD/Nvidia will want to position themselves well and will try to get another update out there.

Who knows whether we see GPUs with m.2 drives on the PCB, that was just something that was covered in a speculative article in PC gamer. But, if we do, I doubt they'd include an SSD in the box and the cards would probably work without it. More of an option to put your game drive there rather than on the MB. So probably not a huge expense.

V-Sync is always an option. I don't think I've ever seen a monitor that does not support it, maybe something crazy old that doesn't double buffer. V-Sync isn't the perfect solution though, you either have wild variances in frame pacing (double buffered) that makes games jittery, or you introduce input lag (triple buffered). I can see a racing game wanting to go double buffered (via adaptive V-Sync) to avoid any input lag or frame drops. Basically just choosing to let the tearing happen. You'd really need to play the game to see what the tearing is like, if it's just a the start of races, maybe not a big deal.

You mean Dirt 5? Tearing is all over the place and extremely severe. Just watch the videos. Maybe I'm lucky to never see tearing before, it's extremely easy to notice it anyway if it happens.

Cats?! THAT'S MY GAME!!!

Hot damn, that's so fluid and fast, I need to play Spiderman. Was not sold on it on PS4, but this stuff is kinda next level now.

Maybe buy the $70 version and play the remastered first? It had a great story and game. You wont' regret not playing it before that way, actually I envy you. I finished it with all DLC's, so getting only the $50 version. I really don't want to play anything old on PS5.

From the videos I've seen of Dirt 5, frame rate mode held at 60fps most of the time (no tearing), the tearing was always when all the cars were bunched up or in certain parts of the tracks where the weather effects were causing drops. I think we watched different videos on that. 🤷‍♂️

I watched the Resolution mode, it was a torture to watch. And DF's video, and there was tearing in the framerates mode but slightly less. Putting it in simple words, this is the worst racing game footage I've seen from this company, Dirt 4 was wonderful.

Just time again, I did start it but the PS5 video dropped so I jumped on that.

What I do here is Part time, so I only normally get around 8 hours a week to make a video and I am just finishing one off this week to go up tonight, NOT DS but it is coming.

Cheers, yeah was just checking it was still in the pipeline 👍

Lovely to see the density of NPCs in the streets:

Sorry for the blurry shot but I count at least 30 npcs wandering around giving the city a sense of life. Bear in mind this is not a boxed in section it's all open in terms of environment.

This is what current gen was so awful at, sparse, dead streets because things have to run on netbook CPUs. Cyberpunk is a good example:

I'm sure there are areas of CP with multiple npcs but this section in the latest gameplay made the environment look dead. I find this extremely immersion breaking as the city is meant to be a megatropolis.

I was actually thinking of doing exactly that, I'll need to start with the first one. I am into darker type of super heroes, like Batman, but Spidey looks more than promising.

Plus, that cat.

Do you feel like playing the first game is important before Miles? I was thinking of just jumping back to it after playing the new shiny one.

The latest CyberPunk 2077 got a massive downgrade, but many are worshiping CDPR so saying so is a blasphemy around here, especially for PC fanatics.

Not necessarily, but you'll watch the development of Miles Morales in it, and the storytelling is wonderful. No wonder it was a solid contender for GOTY, but God of War is simply overpowered.

On that second image, can you read the wording at the top of the image? I can't quite make it out.

What does it say?

There's tearing in 2 of the modes, only mode that doesn't is 120fps mode.

No more of those overhyped bullshots, enough with the Astro A40 + Mixer that has flat-ass bass. If I'm getting anything, it'll be only Sony. Sony has Sony Music division, and they have singers under their sleeves and their leading the industry with their noise canceling headsets. Above all of that, they love BASS! I highly regret spending 95 OMR ($247) on Astro A40+Mixer. They sound clean, but flat as fuck! Good to listen to audible books, I guess.

Preordered the Pulse 3D!

Thank you, man. Seems some guys are used to those tearing, I mean most casual gamers don't know what's the big deal with VRR on HDMI 2.1.

I think the worst tearing I have seen so far on PS4 is in Rainbow 6 Siege; I disabled v-sync on purpose, for having faster input when moving about, and panning camera around, but the screen tearing is something horrendous. There's much more fluidity and responsiveness, but it comes at a cost. It's pretty ugly.
