I am curious if retailers in EU would break street date for consoles. As far as I am aware Media Markt already got console in their magazines. So from tomorrow I am on stand-by mode, boots always on!

Why? The disk drive makes noise. Rain is wet. It's not like it's in constant use, you copy the contents to the hard drive and then it does a verification check now and then.

Personally, I'd rather the flexibility of a disk than the storage management of a digital edition.

That is actually a faulty disc drive.
No disc drive ever do that amount of noise unless it is falty.

I should not use it anymore and contact warranty ASAP for a replacement.

Damn, Twitch is up and running with PS5 and Demon's Souls in particular...

Interesting reviews for Godfall, looks like they nailed the combats so I fancy a try and awesome hands-on for Sackboy, order on its way

The game does look like this, though of course there's certain areas that look more dull than others. There's only so much you can do to make some drab dilapidated & dark dungeon look nice

I didn't watch the video for too long and I noticed that they were fiddling with settings all the time, but the game just didn't look as impressive as in promotional materials. Some textures weren't all that great. But screw that: for the sake of clarity, I probably should have said that it doesn't feel like a next gen game after watching the stream.

I know I know. I was going to wait but it possible I'm about to get another game. I just don't know when I'll get to it. My PS4.9 Copy of GoT needs playing
 
Do we know if retailers are selling PS5s that weren't preordered/first come first serve? Anyone trying their luck tonight?
I'm in the NYC area if anyone knows locations.

yep. I'm holding off simply because it is a 100% remake. the game looks stunning but i will happily wait for a discount.

R&C however is a new game. I can't wait to purchase it on day 1.
 
So some rando risked actually damaging his XSX by blowing vapor into console, in an attempt to debunk some videos that the Polish Xbox account verified was real? SMDH. Some people take console wars way too seriously. You can't make this shit up. I'm sure his XSX innards could do without a fresh layer of dried up gunk that he exhaled from his mouth.
 
Some of you are reading way too much into these reports - there's always a small percentage of defective units. As long as it's not a wide spread issue, what we're seeing is normal.

Unless people think 100% of all manufactured tech - such as phones, computers, tablets, consoles etc - all work flawlessly.

Oh, just fyi, I'm owner of both consoles and From Software games are some of my favourite. I can only hope this info will help you be less sensitive in the future.
 
Y'all need to come to grips and accept the Series X is a poorly designed console with out of shelve cheap components and crap airflow. When you accept that, you'll stop crying "FAKE" and will start making MS accountable, as they should be.

Until then, please ensure you get some Emotional Support once you drop into the Depression stage. We don't want you to feel alone and helpless.

Hmm, shame for the early adopters having issues with their machines. That's why I'm planning on waiting at least 6 months (and exploring PS Now in the meanwhile).

Yes, but don't forget to point out that the XSX is so advanced that its 'digital assistant' will actually point out the exit options you have around your particular home!

'In case of a thermal emergency, you may : A) throw yourself out of the bedroom window, B) run down stairs in a panic, turn right and exit your home using the front door, or C) make yourself as comfortable as possible and wait for what will be an appropriate end to the year 2020. Don't forget to call the fire department if you choose options A or B!'

Not Amazon...
I am still waiting for the XSX... Supposed to be delivered yesterday but UPS somehow messed it up. Now I have I can probably wait until Saturday...
