Looking at the PS5 news signup pages, the pages were created on the 19th December, so maybe not an indication that the PS5 news is months away.

So at this point judging by the timing of invitations going out last reveal, there isn't going to be a Feb reveal?
Who was the poster who said that they were booking flights to the US for Sony peeps for March?

Judging by the timing of invitations last reveal, they could send them tomorrow for the 26th.

One thing to keep in mind here is that while RDNA tflops are 25% better than Polaris tflops, they are actually 50-60% more powerful than the GCN 1.0 Tahiti tflops the base x1 and ps4 were based on. So the 9.2 tflops oberon is actually 13.8 PS4 Tflops. and the 12 tflops xsex is basically 18-20 xbox one tflops.

It's why I have always believe Phil was talking about rdna tflops and so are all the PS5 is stronger insiders. no one is talking about gcn tflops when they look at the spec sheets. Phil said over 8x xbox one s which is 1.4 tflops * 8 = 11.2 tflops. Curious how he didnt say 9. because 9 * 1.4 tflops gets us to 12.6 tflops which is over their 12 tflops target.

I know man but to me It seemed bgs was giving hint about tf . He said assume 13.8 is gcn tf what is it in rdna assuming it's 1.2 multiplier . So I did he math 😆

What would happen? Devkits are out in the open. If things leak, they leak now and in the past months. It's not like there will be surprises to devs half a year before launch, they have been building games for these consoles for 1.5+ years already. That talk about GDC being what everybody needs to get ahead off is such a ridiculous idea.

That's not what happened, though. The CFO talked in detail about why they cannot say anything right now which was not limited to but included that they have competition. And that stuff like production and availability of parts influences their decision as well. He absolutely implied they do not know final pricing right now.

do you speak japanese language? i am thinking that Nelva does. chinese and japanese language are different from others, they are translated little different and sometimes the idea of the sentence is different.

He's right, Xbox unveiled Xbox One in April, so there is precedence.

Samsung has Aquabolt (upper-end) and Flarebolt (lower-end) HBM2 modules at current. The upper modules give 307 GB/s on stacks of 4GB and 8GB, while the lower one gives 256 GB/s in 4GB and 8GB modules.

Most gaming code and algorithms utilize compression, and if the systems are similar in processing power (they definitely are in terms of the CPUs at least) the one with HBM and, say, a 2048-bit bus isn't going to benefit too much from that since anything 256-bit bus or larger with the GPUs these systems will likely use won't be bandwidth-starved due to the bus size, and they may not have the processing power to fully utilize the expanded bus a 2048-bit HBM2 memory pool would provide.

True. Sony has no need to present PS5 before the GDC. But if they don't do it before I hope they do it during. Otherwise I will make a useless trip. I do not know if is understandable what I'm trying to say. I suppose that if a situation is not going to exist we will be notified in time. I hope.

if vr is a pillar, why close the studio? Was every employee bad? Of course not, so just fire the management and/or creative leads. I mean, when uncharted 4 was having issues, sony/ND just fired henning and gave the project to someone else.

It is like with Evolution and Driveclub. They shut the studio down because arcade/simcade racing was not profitable enough, not because of bad management. If simcade/arcade racing was important to them, they would have kept it open or opened a new studio. They did neither.

So, if they open a new VR studio, then yeah all is good. But closing the studio plus moving the astrobot guy to lead a flat gaming team, idk.

At this point I expect Sony will show what they want when they want. That isn't a knock on them. It's me saying they have a plan and they're going to stick to it. Always were.

I don't know if you are allowed to comment on this but do you work in a multiplatform game? And the last question, you could put a video of something that represents the graphic level that we can expect at the start of PS5 and Xbox SX during the gameplay, some reference to get an idea of the visual level. Thank you.
 
yeah, they hired a guy whose claim to fame was working on Singstar games and some eye toy stuff for the creative lead Of Manchster. So instead of head hunting some real talent, they just close the studio down.:rolleyes:
 
What if.. all this time dev had only ps5 and xbox series S SKU to work with and they have to scale up for xbox series X and that why we only ear that PS5 is stronger.

Target spe has been the 12 tf from begining of 2019.it has been always xsx

They said just today that their timing will be comparable to what they did the last time.

But what you said about showing what they want made me think. If they are as close in performance as many are saying, let's say PS5 is 12.9 and Series X 12.1. That's close enough so Microsoft could overclock their APU to bridge the gap. So, in that case, would it make sense for Sony to say their exact teraflop numbers at this point in time? Wouldn't it be wiser to wait until after E3 when it would be too late for Microsoft to react?
