When Sony released the PlayStation 4 in November 2013, it sold 7.5 million units in its first two quarters.
That's why I highly doubt that Microsoft is going to produce 10-15 million. If Sony wasn't able to sell more than 7.5 million in 6 months what chance does Microsoft have?
Even if Microsoft produces that many systems retailers won't accept them all. Which means the ones left over can just become expensive to Microsoft because of storage costs.
The smart thing to do is make sure that your supply and demand are close to each other. Which is what I'm predicting that both Microsoft and Sony will do.
