I did not really have too much of an issue with him, found him mild compared to some of the crazy zealots in some of the other threads, there are some psycho fanboys out there.

I think this thread is a pretty mild place, with a lot of good banter. I welcome it on bother sides.

I think the reason that people don't like this thread, is because when they come in and try and spread fud they get seriously called out for it, there are a lot of good solid technical people in here, that like to challenge people.

Alot of other threads on this forum, you can just shit post and leave, in here you need back up your shit or you're in trouble.

As for worst of the worst, I have spoken to a lot of people in private, my word might mean nothing here, but from my humble experience, the few that I have spoken to, they seem pretty decent people.

You know what could make Xbox Series X sell more than PS5, just talking to a friend about this idea. If Microsoft branded Xbox Series X as an affordable 'gaming pc' offering you top quality performance and allows you to go windows mode on the console for your daily spreadsheets, word document and web browser needs.

I kind of like this idea but how would you feel about it being Windows 10 S only where all your apps had to be installed from the Windows Store to ensure maximum stability.

Maybe a bit more time to show stuff properly running on XSX/XSS hardware. Think they have been burned by this and need to make sure stuff in on the right hardware for the next show.

All that is showing is that the controller is compatible with phones and PC's.
Literally nothing else.

I think that the Series S form factor is going to be different. Otherwise you run the risk of people thinking they are just purchasing a white Series X. I can also see the opposite though as you want these consoles to be grouped as being of the same generation and them looking the same would help.

While here there is doubt or fear about the possible quality of next generation games, I just finished Ghost of Tsushima on a traditional PS4 1.8TF at 1080p @ 30fps on a € 280 console and together with TLOU2 it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life as a gamer. I have tried to play these wonderful stories on my € 8,000 4 GPU PC but have not gotten the game to run. I don't know what the problem must be. It will be me?

It seems the RE8 thing didn't cause as much warring as I thought it would. Even some Xbox dudes were like "WTF". I mean, if RE7 runs at 1080p/60fps on base PS4, how could RE8 don't run at least at 1080p/60fps on PS5 if the console is better in every single way?. Yeah, Dusk Golem has a very good track record and I honestly think he was just passing what he heard but it just doesn't makes sense. We've seen next gen stuff running at 2160p/60fps, 2160p/30fps and 1440p/30fps and in some cases with ray tracing enabled and we are supposed to believe that, what appears to be a cross gen game, can't run at 1080p/60fps?... something doesn't add up. But from the posts in the thread it seems as if they just took the PC version and ported it to PS5 with minor optimization which makes sense but Dusk Golem could have avoided all that unpleasantness if he just said that from the very beginning.

Good track record doesn't excuse him for the way he was talking: first he said PS5 was performing much worse than XSX on every 3rd party game. Then he got pressured, and changed it to just RE8 struggling to run 1080p60 and justifying it with framerate stuttering on PS5 showcase trailer. In the end, he changed again to running in that state months ago and will be fine at release, even making 'an educated guess' that it will be upscaled 4k60 while XSX is true 4k60 just because tflops.

Looks like his bias is showing...

well take x-fighters ban, for example, judging by it, you have already seen a good half a dozen people or so asking for the ban to be lifted as it was unfair. I guess if you let the whole day roll by, you would get a hundred people, the majority sony fans i might add, that would want him back.

So debate then, just lead by example. The vast majority of times I saw your comments here either taking jabs at other users or for some reason complaining about the existence of this thread in of itself.

In a speculation thread there's bound to be a bit of FUD until things are nailed down 1 way or the other. As previous posters have pointed out, in response to x-fighter specifically, there has been plenty of FUD attempts thrown out to somehow minimize the PS5. Now that those myths get debunked, one by one, it's no wonder it seems very one sided. It's a case of the shoe being on the other foot.

I for one come here to keep track of the latest rumors and tidbits and the occasional banter. So if had such disdain for this specific thread, I would definitely not come back again.

I have debated, numerous times, in this thread. It used to be a great thread, but it has turned sour lately, which is why I rarely read it any longer. I'm not playing the victim, I'm just stating my opinion. There's a reason so many reply bans have been handed out, as well as the several times the thread has been closed. It's not because of 'occasional banter'.
