Haha someone actually paid €100 for that
Ok it makes more sense now why RT isn't included in this performance mode. It's pushing 8x the pixels!Wait, so the game is using temporal injection in the 4K/60 mode according to the PlayStation website. But if you pixel count the footage it looks as native 4K? count me the fuck in!

Aaron Greenberg's minions are out here spreading more nonsense.
VA turns a 2.4 GB/s SSD into a 16GB/s monster![]()
Has anyone actually seen those 16GB/s?
I mean he says nobody has seen the PS5s 17GB/s so I'm wondering if the same thing applies to the XSX 16GB/s.
Care to elaborate?Thats not how that works.
Care to elaborate?
I've seen random Twitter/Youtube comments from both sides and I lose brain cells reading them, but yeah I agree, also no point in posting them here, adds nothing to the discussion and is irrelevant.its unhealthy how you guys post clear dumb comments from bloody youtube! and twitter! and act like its majority and annoy yourselves
But the video mentions it runs in native 4K in large sections. The entire point of their temporal upsampling is that it isn't rendering the full amount of pixels
That's the point. It looks as good as native 4K but it's using less resources. Just like the UE5 demo, where even DF said it tricked their tools into thinking it was native 4K.But the video mentions it runs in native 4K in large sections.
Well then sign me the fuck up.That's the point. It looks as good as native 4K but it's using less resources. Just like the UE5 demo, where even DF said it tricked their tools into thinking it was native 4K.
I'd agree with you in most cases, but the PS5 "overheating" nonsense literally spawned from a dumb YouTube comment. So much so, that popular YouTuber's like ReviewTechUSA, SpawnWave, Boogie, etc. covered it. Furthermore, it created unnecessary drama amongst both fanbases.its unhealthy how you guys post clear dumb comments from bloody youtube! and twitter! and act like its majority and annoy yourselves

Yeah thats what Ratchet & Spidey will use. Its basically "fake 4K" that looks great. And at 60 Hz. Gotta love it.Wait, so the game is using temporal injection in the 4K/60 mode according to the PlayStation website. But if you pixel count the footage it looks as native 4K? count me the fuck in!

No thats real. Same particles were shown in June PS5 showcase. It just looks like an early devkit or something not final. The particles seem too crazy, the sony UIs generally convey calm. I think it's a concept and they scammed someone $ 100.
Makes perfect sense, gotta feed that 25 TFLOP GPUVA turns a 2.4 GB/s SSD into a 16GB/s monster![]()
II don't think he was vague at all....or, how about I take it up with the person posting the material rather than involve a mod?
It's a simple principle. I think that if you have insider info and you can share it, great. Get it verified and off you go!
If you can't share it, also fine, but keep it to yourself rather than making vague hints and then refusing to clarify.
Makes you wonder how expensive this technique actually is if the fidelity remains largely unchanged.Yeah thats what Ratchet & Spidey will use. Its basically "fake 4K" that looks great. And at 60 Hz. Gotta love it.
Still on the overheat train...![]()

Well of course the build is early and is missing various details the PS4 has (shadow quality, draw distance) but you would assume that if the PS5 was rendering this internally at say 1440p or slightly higher that there should be sufficient headroom to improve the overall visual fidelity while still maintaining 60fps.What do you mean?
I think that PS5 footage looks better than the PS4 Pro version but at 60 FPS, so idk. I noticed more NPCs and vehicles around in the world, and the lighting looks better. And of course its not final footage.Well of course the build is early and is missing various details the PS4 has (shadow quality, draw distance) but you would assume that if the PS5 was rendering this internally at say 1440p or slightly higher that there should be sufficient headroom to improve the overall visual fidelity while still maintaining 60fps.
This has been the same every generation of PS consoles. The anti-consumer nonsense is some made-up talking point to deflect from a lack of games. Buy what you want. Vote with your dollar. If an army of people are going to buy the remakes and the new accessories, then it's not as anti-consumer as you're pretending it is.What's the bet the same people who are pro having to buy new controllers are the same people who will happily pay for remasters that they have already bought last gen
it's a shitty anti consumer move...no way to frame it any better but there will be an army to defend the decision
Sony want you buying the latest accessories at a premium which will offer a minimum user experience over the old controllers
In light of Microsoft acquiring Zenimax has "insider" mentioned if sony has anything going on behind the scenes? Even their reaction to the news? I know we havent received a statement or comment from sony about it but it seems like something you would want address, even in passing.

Sony might need a quick pause feature. I can't make it back to the couch from getting my controller in less than 5 seconds.I believe Cerny. Sony showed ratchet, Spider-Man and Demon's Souls all have less than a second loading ( some of that time is transition animation rather than actual loading ). This is why PS5 does not need quick resume, games cold boot in a second
I am not sure what causes this.
Could it be that the old saves with Keys filtered by the Scene are played directly on PS5 (in PS5 mode)?
Maybe the games before X.xx system version are compromised and to avoid the possible key leak by brute force by having two comparatives they are simply useless?
It's a speculation of mine.
It's a slippery slope which snowballs into other issuesDid Sony or Microsoft force you to buy their new stuff? its your money! do whatever you want to do or others same with their money.
Thx buddy. It is extremely obvious of what DF was doing. A certain group just want be in denial. Unfortunately Bo was banned for pointing it out. But let's move on.I shared some intel with @Mod of War
Sorry if I say things that are truths that offend certain groups of people
we saw a glimpse of ps5 ui. It's enough to trigger our friendsWhy are people so salty today?
Nothing happened to make the green side so scared lol
What do you want them to say? What more do you need to know? One month away and Sony still won't say anything
Here is the thing. people were saying ps5 gpu is 2070 super while xsx is 2080, I know for a fact that my 2070 super cannot run RT reflection 1440p/60fps on pc high settings.Well of course the build is early and is missing various details the PS4 has (shadow quality, draw distance) but you would assume that if the PS5 was rendering this internally at say 1440p or slightly higher that there should be sufficient headroom to improve the overall visual fidelity while still maintaining 60fps.
Naughty Dog said the PS4 port of The Last of Us was a helpful step to learn how to program for the PS4 hardware. It was a learning curve from being used to developing for the PS3 Cell. If they had just started with Uncharted 4 (which Amy Henning's team did begin pre-pro around 2012) that would have still taken them longer than you think, they had to rework their engine for X86 architecture. It's a slippery slope which snowballs into other issues
Naughty dog would of potentially released lou2 much earlier and we could of been playing a follow up or a new ip if they were not making paid remasters of tlou1 and uncharted
paid remasters are just lazy
I think back to all the cool games and variety we had in the ps2 gen and this last generation has been nothing but remasters and sequels.
These are fun games but if you continue to support this sort of practice you are going to get more of the same this gen
The consoles will overperform their paper specs, but its hard to compare Turing PC cards to custom RDNA 2 consoles. Here is the thing. people were saying ps5 gpu is 2070 super while xsx is 2080, I know for a fact that my 2070 super cannot run RT reflection 1440p/60fps on pc high settings.
I can't wait to see how people will react when the consoles are released.
The Xbox 360 controller in 2005 and the Xbox Series X in 2025 will have the exact same feature set for developers to program for, except for 1 thing, the rumble motors in the triggers, added in 2013. Thats it.What's the bet the same people who are pro having to buy new controllers are the same people who will happily pay for remasters that they have already bought last gen
