Battlefield 6 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One, EA confirms

Despite rumors to the contrary, Battlefield 6 is launching on last-gen consoles alongside current-gen platforms

This makes a lot of sense if you plan to make your game relevant for a few more years.

Sure the Series X and PS5 is hard to find right now and the install bases are low compared to last gen but with time we all know that will change and due to the lack of games on next gen consoles if your game is good it would probably sell well and build a loyal fanbase before more games start to be release on the consoles.

The above reasons are why I don't get why we are not seeing more native next gen games. The whole cyberpunk situation would have literally been avoided if they didn't launch day one on last gen. It was very short sighted thinking.

VRR isn't always the saviour. It can not entirely eliminate stutter if you are higher or lower than the VRR range of the display.

Even if VRR can eliminate stutter within a certain threshold , it cannot make a 45 fps game play like a 60.

Miles is fully playable. The story will switch between them at various points. You play as peter for the majority of the game. Miles still has a lot to do in the story as well as his own side missions. Once you beat the campaign you unlock the ability to freely switch between at will.

It can't because they prioritized the resolution. It should be able to do 60 at higher than 1080p, just from the pixels it is already pushing at 1440p. We also don't know what settings differences there are between the two, I'm sure there are some upgrades on the XSS given the RAM advantage.

Secondary profiles wouldn't be a new thing really, so technically possible. I don't think it is that though but that kinda would be the most interesting thing in my opinion.

Audio improvements most likely but hope it's fps boost for more games.

Added: imagine if Xbox enabled smartshift as a secondary profile?

You know, I'm always just floored with what people create in Dreams. I haven't tried because I know I couldn't get even close to this kind of thing. The only quibble I have with this one......WTF was up with the first music track? Sounded like someone's 12 year old kid brother was playing the song on guitar. Constantly speeding up and then suddenly being a slower beat, then picking back up again in jerks and jinks. Was seriously distracting to me. I know that sounds picky but....damn! It was distracting! I thought maybe the audio was linked to the frame rate somehow, but I didn't see frame rate issues and in the second part it showed, the music was much more complex and....the pacing was fine! Just...I dunno. It bothered me a bit (obviously- lol!)

Zenimax was a pretty unique in that the company itself was looking to sell, their newer games werent performing well review or sales wise, they werent public so we never knew who was in discussions, and is one of the few publishers that has a history with Microsoft.
