Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Oh Nantz--clinging to your last thread of hope.

Not that the Patriots had played well all game, but I thought the game turned on that Gronk catch in the end zone. Momentum had shifted somewhat and the Pats were starting to turn things on. I understand wanting to preserver the timeouts but that was such a clear touchdown. The Pats would have had like 3:45 on the clock. They might not have put themselves in a position where they kick an onside kick, etc. etc.

Hindsight is 20/20 on that, but I'm still just amazed by the non-challenge there.

Watching this game has confirmed to me that Phil Simms secretly had 4,803 concussions during his career. Dude doesn't know shit.

Horseshit. The ball isn't going to magically go forward 20 yards like that.
Seriously it wasn't like he was moving at super human speed, it was pretty damn obvious it was hit forward on purpose.

Wow, second half of Detroit's schedule is BRUTAL. Only game that is a sure win is probably Minnesota. If AP Doesn't kill you guys. Carolina can't be slept on. Damn.

Pretty much, yeah. Division games are always a toss-up, plus we get San Diego, Carolina, Oakland and New Orleans.

If we can somehow come out of that and end up in the playoffs as a wild card, I will be impressed.
