After today you can seriously make the case the Niners are the 2nd best team in the NFC.

If he was on the Packers there would be shrines for him and GIFs throughout this thread.

lol wut? Just about all of Packers GAF understands the commoditization of the running back. No one particularly cared if Grant was brought back or if Starks was given the job. No position is more over-rated in all of sport than the running back. Except maybe baseball manager.

Yeah , but not all RB are that shitty.

Can't believe I stayed up to watch this massacre. Was kind of hoping Team Romo would crush Philly's post-BYE confidence before next week. America's Team my ass.

The best 3 NFC teams so far are clearly Green Bay and then Detroit/San Fran in some order. After that the next best teams would probably be NO, New York, and Atlanta in some order.

After that, who the hell knows.

the saints faced the rams and DID lose. who would you put at #2 in the NFC if not the niners?
Rams are better then their record shows.

Browns 3 wins this year; the opponents combined for something 2-20 w/l.

9ers>>>>>>>>>>>Saints.

As a lion fan I rather play saints with that horrible D than 9ers.

I hate these arguments. Usually doesn't mean shit.

The Lions, who were 2-10 at the time, beat the GB Packers last season. Yet the Packers won the Superbowl. You tell me what that means?

NOTHING

I don't think the Lions are in the same class as the 49ers. Defensive is just too good. They've built smart. They know Alex is dog shit and no matter how much talent they put around him he will be dogshit. So instead of training him to use the toilet, they built a massive pooper scooper. No matter how big a mess Alex Smith makes, the defense will clean it up. Until they face the one good team in football.

Before this game, haven't the Rams only scored 67 points in 6 games? lol the Saints almost had that in one game.

That defense will give the Packers absolute fits and their weapons are diverse enough that on a good day they could run with Green Bay (against GB's defense). So yeah, I don't think they are insanely worse than the Packers.

Of course, that chart shows a lot more what I think of the Lions and the rest of the NFC.

Except we didn't. The game was essentially 20-3 aside from 1 blown Dashon Goldson coverage.

don't bother. he looked at the box score and determined that the browns were close to beating us. anyone who watched the game understands this was basically a blowout and the browns scored on two drives: a fg because of a bogus personal foul on a clean shoulder to shoulder hit, and then a blown coverage by our safety late in the game.
