Pretty sure he's a FA, he was on the niners in the preseason, but we cut him to keep Tolzien. He looked pretty good (against 3rd string defense) in our last preseason game.

While I agree with you completely and it's horribly salty on the Welker part of things, there was plenty to say Ray was involved in the murders.

Ray was not acquitted, he copped a plea deal and pleaded guilty to a lesser charge. It's even easier to spew bullshit when you don't even know the facts.

Im just not sure Welker would be as good as he is in another system.Its like he was made for the Patriots offense.
I think they should sign Welker and if they can Talib... however they need to find some way to bring in another option on the outside, something that can help ease up the pressure on him as the primary weapon. He never had these stone hands before he became THE guy. Again this is what sucks about the offense hinging on one person. I understand it's a spread it out offense, but when Gronk wasn't out there things became sloppy.

Ray got charged with obstruction of justice because he was telling people at the scene to not speak with the police
Only reason Ray was arrested was because he was a high profile NFL player at the time
Seriously the only evidence they had against him was his clothes had blood on them

Everyone knows this, including Welker and other teams. Doesn't mean the desire isn't there. There are only a handful of quarterbacks who can really tap into him in the same manner.
