NFL 2012 Conference Championship |OT| My Brother's Kaeper

Lets be honest bros AFC is the lesser and more boring conference. When in the past 9 years you only have three diffirent teams make it to the Super Bowl but on the other hand there is EIGHT diffirent NFC teams you know there is a problem unless your one of the three. It would be one thing if the AFC was dominant over NFC but that's not the case.

We are going to play Flacco a shitload of money.

I'm going to withhold my opinion on this until after this Sunday. Then, it may get WILD in here.

Earlier in the year Flacco looked so dumb for turning down the contract they offered, but now he looks like a genius. He is going to be one of the highest paid QBs for sure now.

Gotta pay the man! Dude out played Manning this year and IIRC he even out played Brady last year, both in the playoffs, not many can say that. Yeah he has faults but your coach isn't going to tank seasons in hope of getting an improbable RG3/Luck type of talent.

Highest paid QB

I've posted a few times on Terrell Thomas and there being no way in hell the Giants keep him on his current contract. He signed a 4 year 28.4 million dollar contract last season (which some bulked at) but as stated it was actually a 1 year two million dollar deal with an OPTION to pick up the remaining if he could stay healthy. He didn't. Here's the break down of the contract:

Terrell Thomas said "my contract is up". Technically it's not. But it will be in March because it includes a $6 million option bonus that there's no way the Giants will pick up. It would be too risky for a player whose health is an obvious risk (only one player in NFL history has ever made it back from a thrice-torn ACL). Picking up that option would also guarantee Thomas’ 2013 salary ($750,000) and much of his 2014 salary ($3.8 million total, $2.75 million guaranteed).

That's $9.5 million in guarantees, which would essentially make Thomas un-cuttable.

So, when they officially decline to pick up the option, the "four year, $28.4 million deal" Thomas signed last March was really a one-year, $2 million deal. He got a $1 million signing bonus and a $1 million salary. If he re-signs with the Giants it almost certainly will be a one-year, minimum salary deal. #NYG

There's a good possibility the Giants can bring him back on that minimum deal if he shows hes healthy. I have my doubts. T2 had two great seasons with us. Had he remained healthy he could have taken for Webster and created a decent tandem with Prince. Sucks to see such a bright career in peril for such a young dude.

Friend of my GF found an old Falcons pennant from the early 80s last year. Been hanging up on my wall ever since.

I would be all for going to the throwbacks as the permanent look.

Those throwback jerseys are pretty nice.

What about just playing Kap straight up with the base 4-3 mixing in some blitzes and pressures and maybe Spoon as a dedicated spy?

I might have to jump off the Flacco bandwagon if he continues to be clutch and wins a Superbowl. I really hate the idea of our division having more than one good qb. I wanted a much smoother transition for Tebow.

Even as I may become a Flacco hater I might also become the worlds biggest Ngata fan if he gets a free shot at Brady and the cameras catch a great look at his terrified face right before that fat bastard pulls a Siragusa part two.

Good riddance, McCoy. You're a fraud. And now two rival AFC West organizations have two overrated John Fox hand-me-downs coaching their teams.

Denver may have blown it big-time this past Saturday...but at least they took out some trash. Enjoy, San Diego!

Culver's is great!

Also, thanks for suggesting that Donkey Kong Kart game when I asked for multiplayer games to play with my folks in Nintendoland, jackasses. Mario Chase is rad! The ghost game is awful.

Wat? "Ghost game" is one of the best multiplayer NintendoLand games, right behind Animal Crossing and Metroid.

Last year: Eli says he's elite, everybody laughs. Wins Superbowl.

This year: Flacco says he's elite, everybody laughs. ???
Pretty sure Flacco said he was elite last year.

Though man I am going to very confused if Bert goes and embarrasses Brady in Foxboro. Eli doing that made me a fan of his for life. I don't know if I can do that for a Raven...

When are you not excited or optimistic about Eagles news?

You should get a job doing PR for the Eagles. Not joking. You would be great at it.

That would be my number 1 dream job but sadly it wont ever happen. I wouldnt be excited if they came out and said Foles is going to be the QB next year. I also want happy when they signed Vick. I love the Eagles but I dont love every thing that they do.

It is easy to get that job dude.

Just marry the ugly, manish, fat daughter of Jeff Lurie. Use some viagra and your imagination to help fulfill you man duties in the bedroom and not only will you be given the PR job as your wedding present, but if you play your cards right you might end up becoming the GM!

It all comes down to how much you really want it.

Yeah I dont think my wife would be to cool with me taking that career path. I definitely wouldnt want to be GM. Way to much pressure in that job and I wouldnt want to screw up and set the team back.

McCoy seemed competent for the most part. The hate for him died down as we were winning. Now I hope the next guy isn't as conservative. Foxy better let him have the reins and be aggressive. Can't pay the guy $18+ million a year and not expect to go to him when it counts. I'm wondering if Adam Gase is going to get the bump up to OC? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Sounds like the Bears are leaning heavily to Trestman. From Minnesota community college to the Canadian Football League to the Bears. That seems pretty much spot on.

There is no way that I can forget his godawful performance with Orton in 2010 and 2011. King of the garbage time yards! Superb against the prevent D!

All i have to look forward this offseason is for the Dolphins to finally change their Unis. They need to replace the helmets White with Silver and stop looking so stupid. They are rumored to not be changing the Logo but to be changing their colors like Nike did with the Seachickens.

Linkage

These are fake by the way, no official ones yet.

There's a lot to look forward to this off season besides that. We get to see how Ireland screws up with all these picks and cap space! He's been better since Parcells left though so we'll see.

We draft 4 lineman. There is your 2013 NFL draft. We release Ryan Long. And we pick up a 3rd string WR from a team like the Browns or Bills. Feels bad man. Gotta focuse on uniforms. At least we'll go 7-9 looking good.

Our alts with the red helmet are ace. I like those as a permanent solution.

Super Bowl?!?!

I just want to be .500. I'm scared to even think what's beyond that...

No kitty no.

Being .500 just gets you bad draft picks and years of mediocre play. Ideally you want awful years in between great years. There are a number of teams that just hover around mediocrity for years and never do anything.

Of course half the Lions team is top 10 picks and they only won 4 games so I could be wrong.

All of this is crazy talk for various reasons.

1. Why would they draft 4 linemen? No precedent. Plus don't they have like 5 picks in the first three rounds? Something like that.

2. Who is Ryan Long and why should we care if he's released?

3. They've got somewhere between 45-60 mil in cap room. That'll buy a little more than a cheap receiver or two.

Super Bowl champs 2014. Believe!

As or T2, if he returns I think it's at Safety.
Yeah, Reese mentioned as much. Considering we're probably losing Phillips, I wouldn't mind. I think there's a good chance we resign him to that minimum deal and give him a shot at safety. I don't think there will be many teams lined up to sign him but I could be wrong.

I will rage if the Dolphins look like a dumbfuck AFL team a la the Seahawks.

If your a dolphins fan you're gonna be raging over a lot of things this coming year anyway. What do we have? Tradition?

Anwar Richardson is winning me over to his side as a Lions beat writer.

Q: In your January 1st article you wrote: "If the Detroit Lions remove general manager Martin Mayhew from his position this week, it would be a knee-jerk reaction best summed up by one word. Dumb." Now, let us fast forward in time and go to your favorite Detroit barber-shop and be that proverbial fly on the wall--this is what might be heard. "If the Detroit Lions remove general manager Martin Mayhew from his position this week, it would be a knee-jerk reaction best summed up by one word. RACIST." ... What do you expect from those Old, Rich, White guys ... those one per-centers, who got rich by exploiting their workers, especially minority workers like undocumented immigrants and ... If brother Mayhew doesn't get fired it will only be because those white racist rich guys are afraid that brother Jessie and Brother Al will come again travel to Detroit for their usual photo-ops and comments to the press and television cameras and their fear that the SEIU will also show up with their supports [think storm-troopers]. Must go---you take care, now--and we eagerly await your follow-up article on why Brother Martin was or was not fired.
Sincerely,
White-Bread John, who is part of the 99 per-centers!
