Browns age is growing! But I don't hate Morris, also he's just interveiwng. So it's not set in stone yet that he's our guy.

There are numerous reports out there, all citing sources, that Grantham is a candidate for the defensive coordinators’ job with the Eagles under just-named-head-coach Chip Kelly. Grantham’s not the only candidate, as I understand it, but Pro Football Talk is reporting that Grantham “has been targeted” as Kelly’s DC.

I think he had a lot to do with our playoff run/win streak. We lost both starting safteys, one before the season and the other played in exactly 3/4 of a game. We also lost arguably our pass rusher and for weeks the defense struggled giving up the big play. After the bye week, somehow Morris and Haslett figured it out. He's been great since he got here and the players like him.

That is such bad news. First I wanted Chip to get a staff with NFL experience, and 2nd they need to stick with the 4-3. The strength of their defense the last few years has been the DL and none of those guys would work in a 3-4. No way could Graham or Cole be 3-4 DE's and I doubt either guy would work as OLBs. Jenkins wouldnt work at end of nose. I guess Cox could be a 3-4 end but his best attribute is his agility and quickness for his size and he would lose lot of that playing end.

An Oregon beat reporter said that he ha spoken to people close to Chip and that the Eagles didnt change their offer at all. It is the exact same offer they made to him weeks ago. So it sounds like he didnt get the power he wanted which is great to hear.

I heard someone mention him just sticking around at Oregon to make sure all the juniors came back, but if so that is really fucked to do to Gus. Supposedly they were discussing contract details at the 2nd interview when Chip called Howie and told him he would take the job. Seems really cold blooded to make Gus fly across the country for a 2nd interview if you already had a deal in place with Chip. I think Occam's Razor applies in this case, Chip really is wishy washy and once he realized that the Eagles were going to sign someone else he changed his mind.
