Would I have liked to keep him: sure!

For $100 million: No fucking way

The way Watt is progressing he is more of a game changer than Mario ever was or will be.

I can't blame Williams. If you're not going to win a ring anyway, you might as well take the money and run.

I say we invade Germany and steal their Oktoberfest and big busted white women.

Dude, when I rule the world, there will be an Oktoberfest every month in every country and you can have all the German women you want.

I zon't even zalk like zhat

Wait a second, the Patriots cut Salas, the guy they gave up a 2020 5th or 6th or 7th rounder for, to get Branch back? Why make the fucking move in the first place? That pick could have been useful (or not, either way what a waste).

Im sitting in my office...my boss comes in (Cowboys fan) and proceeds with:

"Did you guys exist before last year?"-him
"Wat?"-me
"Texans fans, they're so annoyingly loud and they became fans last year."-him
"...Hahahaha you're right"-me
"You're a Texans fan right?"-him
"Yes sir, I love em, but I think Romo gets treated unfairly. With all the additions this year, the Boys will probably make a run starting in late october"-me
"Yea, sunday was a bad game, they always have one in them, but you're right."- He leaves.

I feel so, so dirty. But it was for my job and...just tell me it will be alright.

As it should be.

You guys don't need Mario anymore. The Bills really did, for the defensive line help as well as positive culture change. The investment for this team is about more than stats.

He's two weeks into a new system that has so far been stressing contain in the run game. The sacks/tackles will come. I'm not concerned.

Annual injury is coming, wait for it

I wish no ill will on Mario. Unlike others I liked him and respected his game when he decided to show up. BUt he not worth anywhere near 100 million. Still a better draft pick than Bush or VY.

Yeah. And you guys started off 6-0 that one year and missed the playoffs. We're in the same boat!

Edit: Also wanted to add that it "feels" different this year. Yeah the Chargers were 4-1 last season, but it didn't feel right at all...as in they were playing horribly (sloppy, turnovers, etc.), the other teams just played worse. They got exposed in that 6 game losing streak. It doesn't look that way so far this season.

6-0 wasn't last year though. We were way worse. I don't doubt the Chargers are a good team, it just seems like a leap to be happy with Norv when all they've done is beat a mediocre team (TENN), and a terrible team in Oakland.

I don't think words can even describe what this picture does to Sanjuro. Drew is only 40 years old, the Patriots should sign him, Brady is old news.

okay, then 14 his whole career. And last year's was a freak thing. He doesn't have recurring issues.

Guy is a physical freak but I can honestly only remember 3 occasions he changed a game.

2010 vs Colts and Redskins and 2011 vs Steelers. Once again I wish him the best but his heart was always in question here as to how much he really wants to play football. Either way its another good sign that people want our players and we are not just getting everyone elses scraps ie Ron Dayne and Ahman Green....

Yeah I mean I don't think anyone is worth 100 million bucks but if the goal is to have a dominant defensive line signing him is a good step in that direction. Besides it's not my money. I won't worry about that unless it means we can't re-sign Byrd or Levitre.

Should I start LaFell over Decker? Decker has really under performed so far and LaFell has put up 10+ points both weeks. Plus Decker is going up against the Texans.

And I think that "he doesn't care about football" stuff sounds like sports radio bullshit that is in no way verifiable. Didn't he play most of the 2010 season injured and have to be dragged kicking and screaming from the lineup in like week 13?

I think he's putting it on. Also, knows way too much about football to complain about its name. Fishing for YT views, that's all. No sane person confuses football with football, doh.

PS:

RIP Steve Sabol

well he might, but what about the rest of yurope? or maybe its just one giant troll

Once again for the visually impaired: didn't say he was bad or wish bad things on him. Has a history of injuries, his motivation to play was always in question, was never a game changer type player to warrant $100 million.

Neither was Albert Haynesworth, I'm sure you were outraged at the time. Bills have to spend other teams money, blame socialism!

I laughed because he was overpaid and his biggest accomplishment the past few years was falling down on Schaubs foot and breaking it.

http://www.buffalonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20120912/SPORTS/120919626/1004 Buffalos own media is on him already. Like the last comment:

Williams said to relax, it's only one game. He'll get to the quarterback. The Bills will get their sacks, by whatever means necessary. "I appreciate everybody pointing the fingers, and they should be," he said.

Yes, they should. When you hand a player $50 million in guarantees, you expect greatness, not excuses. Maybe it's sour grapes, but Houston fans and players don't seem to miss him. I'm already wondering if what they say is true, that there's a lot less to Mario than meets the eye.

Tom Curran said:
If Waters wanted to play he'd have been here long ago and making plennnnty of money. That the Pats cheaped out on him is BS.

Read that the Pats actually offered his ass 5 million bucks to play this season...Don't know what is true anymore :'(

I don't think it's much of a subject except maybe the usual trolls. They will find something to pick at, you know how it goes. If it's not that, it's your obsession with burbon and carbonated soda with sugar.

As it should be.

lol, its just crazy in dallas when I'm here for work. Cowboys fans calling out Texans fans for being annoying or bandwagon-y.

I wore my AJ jersey out on saturday afternoon for lunch, I got a lot of shit. Which is odd, because Cowboys fans used to treat us as the harmless younger brother. No animosity because we suck and probably will never be very good.

Its been fun to watch though. At the bar there were 'boys fans who were like "I can root for the texans, never the oilers, but the texans aint so bad". Which then makes the other fans go "uhhh gross".

Finally back home.

Can anyone name the lions secondary ? Seriously.
Hi, welcome back.

Please tell us again how Matt Stafford is a top tier QB. We (and he) have forgotten. He's at least better than Eli, right?

I laughed because he was overpaid and his biggest accomplishment the past few years was falling down on Schaubs foot and breaking it.

There were questions whether to sign Williams or Foster last season. Wish I could remember when that was so I could expose some fools on here.

You do come across quite salty from where I stand. Really, I don't care for the Bills or the Texans but ain't no fun in rubbing it in, bro.

All because of MariO's. I will never be able to eat the honey, whole grain goodness.
Seriously though, the defense got even better after Mario was out and it has showed no signs of regressing why would I be salty?

I think you were too. It was just fucking foolish considering the skillset Foster has versus the play of the defense before and after Williams was out due to injury.

I was. Foster just completely turned on beast mode when TJ was the starter. First RB with over 100 yds versus the Ravens at home in years, in a playoff game no less. He took over games at the end of last season. Also makes me think they would trade Tate after this season since he still will have one more year on his rookie contact and the have Grimes on the practice squad who looked really good in pre-season.

Can somebody explain to me why/how Plaxico is not signed? You are seriously telling me that no teams with WR issues can't use him. Is he being blacklisted? What the hell? I wouldn't mind him in philly for an endzone thread.

Also, Vince Young is apparently broke:

Six years after entering the NFL as the third player taken in the draft, Vince Young finds himself without a team and with just a fraction of the money he received from a contract that guaranteed him $26 million.

The fall has been a dizzying one for the player who twice made the Pro Bowl with the Tennessee Titans. Young sent out a tweet thanking the Bills and their fans after he was released but hasn't spoken to the media since. He declined a request to be interviewed for this story.

"According to public records, Vince Young was one of at least 10 NFL players who turned to Pro Player Funding for cash during the lockout. Loan documents show he borrowed the $1.9 million at 20 percent interest, with $619,122 in interest paid up front, and agreed that a judgment could be entered if he missed a payment."]According to public records, Vince Young was one of at least 10 NFL players who turned to Pro Player Funding for cash during the lockout. As someone who always thought Mario was massively overrated I'm not sure how a professional scouting staff or even a team with internet access couldn't pick up on the fact the his old team didn't care that he left and played better w/o him. If Mario was still there then Watt or Antonio would have had to come off the field, b/c there was no way he could have played the Brooks Reed role for a full season w/o being further exposed

I get that the Bills have trouble attracting FAs, but there had to be a better way

too bad he wasn't good enough to help the texans get an actual win against the ravens. i'm sure texans fans are happy with just getting good stats tho
