NFL 2013 Preseason/Training Camp thread - Doritos Locos

lol, no. The rule changes were put in place so the NFL could pretend they cared about player safety so that the litigants would feel pressured to settle. It worked! Now let's let players get back to tackling.

I think this is exactly right. Every progression for "player safety" the past few years has been nothing more than preparation for this lawsuit, to make it seem like they were doing everything they could to prevent concussions. Hopefully that farce is over now.

dat nfl settlement. doesnt make a difference though and i dont think it'll help much besides give retired players a few extra dollars to buy steel reserve

LATIN, MATRIPEDICABUS, DO YOU SPEAK IT
Bioshock Infinite for $16
Prison Architect for $17
Humble Paradox Bundle
Total War: Rome II

What should I get?

Prison Architect is very much early alpha and nowhere near feature complete, though the current alpha builds have a lot more stuff to do than when early access started up - if you don't mind figuring things out on your own, building stuff and watching what happens (usually bad things), and then starting over to see if you can do better it's pretty fun. If you need something more directed, avoid for now.

Maybe I should start a NFL-Gaf session and rename all the prisoners to people here and see who tries to gank who. We'd have to classify who'd be in what category though (min security, general pop, max security).

Tested Dadcast:

Will: Incognito mode is for secretly buying gifts for your wife, reading the NYT, and porn
Gary: not necessarily in that order

:lol

So good when Gary is on.

Wait a minute...

Does this mean you can get through the NYT paywall with incognito mode?

WHY DID NO ONE EVER TELL ME??

You people.

(Yes, it makes sense. But still, I didn't know)

If you didn't know the ending after that elevator ride in the beginning you are simple

Comstock lays it all out.

For me it wasn't about the twists (some fuck spoiled me on Facebook), but about the way it all came together.

Pure conjecture, but your criticisms of this game always sound like you've read more similarly themed books than the average player would have.

No I dont see how you knew how it would end. I will agree that
the Booker Comstock twist was kind of obvious, but not that you were going to go back in time and kill yourself. That was far from predictable.

I make no bones about liking Infinite quite a bit. I think the combat/shooter elements come into their own on harder difficulties when you're forced to use vigors and the combinations more. 1999 mode in particular is where it's at if you enjoy the challenge.

Whereas on medium (the default difficulty for the game), I can't fault/disagree with someone that says its a generic shooter. They did an awful job of balancing the game there and you can pretty much play it like Call of Duty in the sky. The encounter design doesn't make much sense when you're just running around swapping machine guns/rocket launchers with a quick bolt of electricity every now and again to freeze enemies.

How else could you solve the problem? Maybe that part would have surprised me too had I not paid attention to the twins.

See, Fox, Infinite is a true litmus test to determine whether you're part of the eznarks or part of the dumbs. That alone should be worth the price of admission.

Only fitting Derek Carr should come to Houston and play for free since his bro fucked us

NYC-Jets-GAF is tonight's game on CBS? Or channel 9?

Us Time Warner customers don't have CBS and I would have liked to have seen at least one Eagles pre season game live even if it is the 4th game.

Plus it would be fun to watch Geno battle it out with Phil Simms kid.

They did that same story in that Bruce Willis movie last year.

That Adam Schein is a somewhat smart man...

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...viii-prediction-atlanta-falconshouston-texans

The Farmers' Almanac says it is going to be cold and could snow at Super Bowl XLVIII in New Jersey this February. Gee, you don't say? Apparently, cold (and possibly snowy) winter weather in the Northeast is breaking news.

And I say it will be the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans playing in those spectacular conditions. Neither Super Bowl conclusion was easy, but I feel great about the picks.

But if it is a frozen, snowy day in NY wouldn't that favor the Texans run game? Wont matter anyway Niners/Texans Superbowl.
