ESPN Report Week 15

The Good

Kellen Clemens
Passer rating: 126.7
QBR: 95.7
Analysis: Clemens' hot start lifted the St. Louis Rams to an early lead they never relinquished against the New Orleans Saints. He completed 7 of 8 passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter, the first multiple-touchdown quarter of his career. Both scoring passes came against the Saints' blitz, and he was not sacked for the first time all season. Prior to Sunday, he had taken at least two sacks in each game he had played in.

Ryan Tannehill
Passer rating: 120.6
QBR: 82.2
Analysis: Before Sunday, Tannehill had the NFL's No. 21 QBR in the fourth quarter. But in the Miami Dolphins' victory Sunday against the New England Patriots, Tannehill completed 7 of 11 passes for two touchdowns. He had success driving the ball downfield throughout the game, completing 12 of 18 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown on throws that traveled at least 10 yards in the air. Receiver Mike Wallace caught a season-high four of those 12 completions (in seven targets) for 90 yards.

The Bad

Drew Brees
Passer rating: 80.4
QBR: 35.5
Briefly: Brees had a rough day against the St. Louis Rams, throwing more incompletions (five) than completions (four) on third down. He completed just 2 of 7 passes that traveled at least 15 yards downfield, his second-worst completion percentage on such throws this season. The lowest came against the Seahawks (0-for-8).

Geno Smith
Passer rating: 68.6
QBR: 34.6
Briefly: Smith took four sacks against the blitz Sunday, and his 25 sacks in such situations this season is the second most in the NFL.

Case Keenum
Passer rating: 42.3
QBR: 3.1
Briefly: Two interceptions, four sacks and a fumble (not lost) led to a season-low QBR. Sunday also marked Keenum's seventh consecutive game with a completion percentage below 60.

The steelers fucking suck. Doesn't matter if The Puppet got penalized and others don't!
Our coach might be a puppet but he also won a SB and is the best looking coach of all time.

And at least our qb can read a defense! Despite being given 3rd and shorts all year long and a above average oline Kap always shits the bed and looks clueless. Just like our coach except not as sexy!

Based on NFL.com it seems the Browns are still #6 for the draft:

6. Browns
5. Jags
4. Raidas
3. Bucs
2. Skins
1. Texans

thats not accurate. tie breakers are determined by strength of schedule
Code:
                        win% sos
1	Texans 0.143	0.552
2	Redskins	0.214	0.511
3	Jaguars 0.286	0.496
4	Raiders 0.286	0.504
5	Browns 0.286	0.520
6	Falcons 0.286	0.556
7	Buccaneers	0.286	0.578
8	Vikings 0.321	0.518
9	Titans 0.357	0.500
10	Bills 0.357	0.525

jags and raidas really close on sos

Panthers have had a hell of a season. 10-6 with a chance to make the wild card was about my high water mark for expectations coming into the season. The fact that we actually control our own destiny to win the division and get a first round bye this late in the season is amazing. Cam's continued improvement and the youth on defense have them setup to be competitive for the foreseeable future as well. Excited for the rest of this season and really excited for the next few years, especially if Gettleman can get Cam some help at receiver.

I'm feeling weird, in that I don't really care what happens in the game tonight, final score-wise. Lions win, back to 1st in the North and a chance to clinch next week. Lions lose, and potential changes in the offseason being not far off.

In the beginning, it was just a fat kid running from some bullies.

Then, Matt Flynn remembered that he is allowed to throw the football.

Romo checks the play, and decides to go full Romo, while Sam Shields feels the incoming money rain upon him.

Fat Eddie shoots out of canon into the endzone. Matt Flynn powers up! Packers lead by 1.

Tony Romo. Because he's the hero Jerry Jones deserves, but not the one he needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A terrible quarterback.

Tony Romo is the opposite of a terrible QB.

If there was any justice in the world he would destroy the living shit out of the Packers in the playoffs. Only this time they win.

Before the trade deadline, the Giants were reportedly shopping Nicks. This play would be an example of why. Seattle played man-to-man coverage underneath with two safeties deep.

In such coverage, the underneath defenders are able to cover short routes tightly because of deep help by the safeties. After releasing inside, Nicks should have recognized man coverage, pushed one extra yard vertical before leveling to create separation and sprinting away from the defender. Instead, Nicks executed no vertical stem, then slowed down as if encountering zone defense before fading up. There, he allowed Maxwell to out-compete him for the ball.

Pretty damning of Nicks.

you guys are mean
Gata asks for it with virtually every post he makes.

At first I thought bionic was using hyperbole about the north Florida education system, but if Gata is a representative sample it's time we admitted there's a major problem there. At least he figured out how to eat (I assume he feeds himself)

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 1m

Cowboys WR Dez Bryant told reporters he left field early Sunday so no one would see him cry.

...yeah.

EDIT: Drag queen link blocked at work. Where's Eli? Though he's already gone drag for SNL.
