Sorry Chiefs-GAF

An MRI confirms that #Chiefs starting DT Mike DeVito has a torn Achilles. He’s out for the season. Same as LB Derrick Johnson

Joe Flacco rules. I don't see how anybody can even deny this anymore.

Our 3 most famous players are Ray Lewis (at the very least was with a then-buddy at the time of two murders and said jack shit to police), Ray Rice (fiance-beater), and Terrell Suggs (fiance-beater who also poured bleach on her and his kid).

Meanwhile the one player on the goddamn team everybody jokes about and makes fun of is our Super Bowl MVP who in his spare time never leaves his basement unless it's for McDonalds. He's a fucking saint in comparison, so why is he made fun of the most? Joe Flacco is my hero because at least he publicly stays out of trouble, and I shouldn't have to say that looking at a team of over 50 people. This sucks.

This post is painful.

There was a time that quote could actually apply, and that was right after the Superbowl. Since then, Joe Flacco has put together his worst season statistically, missed the playoffs for the first time, all while being one of the highest paid (and most overpaid) players in the NFL. I mean, Joe Flacco sucks. I don't see how anybody can even deny THAT anymore.

Finally remembered to look up Tuesdays With Aaron. Listened to the episode prior that recorded before the Seattle game. Sounded like he was being pretty realistic about the game. Usually he can be a bit overly positive, which I guess you want in a QB to an extent.

The only sad part was the props he gave to AJ Hawk for being consistent. I mean, the guy has always been there, and I think he has had some years where he has been better than others, but in most cases, he shouldn't be the starting MLB for a team.

I got that reference. Good show, my man!

lol no, he was generally super mediocre back when the Steelers were relevant and I give him very little credit for much of the success the Steelers had when he was young but since they've torpedoed he has actually grown as a QB. He's always been fun to watch though.

That Steelers - Packers MNF game is still probably my favorite non-post season game ever. He was fucking unbelievable.
Are you talking about the game where Ben had 500 yards to get us back to .500 the year after we won the SB?

I could have sworn that game was on a Sunday.

Isn't Suh the most overpaid player currently? Doesn't he make substantially more than Watt?

Or am I wrong about that?

It's always a really fantastic show. Tomorrow should be excellent. He is always pretty brutal after a loss.

You should look up the one he did after the Dolphins hired Philbin. It was pretty blunt and as I recall he predicted a lot of the things that would eventually happen. It gives great insight into what coaches actually do.

Maybe it was Sunday night. I really don't care. The thing I remember is that the game was fucking amazing and none of you Steeler fuckers would believe me when I said I wasn't upset.

Sadly I can't really remember the last time I was upset about a Packers loss. Cardinals in the playoffs probably. They are just so predictable these last few years.

Isn't Suh the most overpaid player currently? Doesn't he make substantially more than Watt?

Did you see Flacco at the end of the half yesterday run around like an idiot? If he's making more than 50 bucks a week, he's overpaid.

Note the clock (he could throw it out the back of the endzone and we kick a FG), and how about that awesome body language at the end.

You're wrong in the fact that he is overpaid. In fact he is so damn good, That Reggie White cant even hold his jock. He quite underpaid in fact. Mountain of Terror, Restore the Roar, Rebuilding ghettos of Detroit single handedly, catching Detroit bullets aimed at lil gata thug with his teeth. A true American hero. /kas2extreme.

^:you

This is a stunning and almost unbelievable statement, but the Rams are worse tacklers than the Packers, at least they were yesterday.

Funny, I remember hearing about their vaunted defensive depth being the reason Michael Sam was cut. If they're as bad as you say they are and he still couldn't get a spot, good lord above.

A bad player who stays out of trouble off-field and never has any on-field either.

Fuck it, at this point I'll take it a million times over without a second thought even once.

I think last year was my first full season of listening, and I found it towards the end of the prior season.
I'll see if I can find that episode.
But Yea, without giving too much away, he does a great job of explaining things with a level of detail most people can't recall right after it happened.

nah this team is way too talented to go 4-12 but the Browns have a good defense, and with 3 of 4 on the road its a really tough schedule. You guys are divisional rivals. Not much can be taken from that game like not much can be taken from the Saints Falcons game as a team trend. We have only met the Browns 2 times under Sean Payton and they kicked our ass twice. In recent history, they own us, like the Rams. Could we get lucky and play a great game and defeat them? Yeah. but theyre going to put up a fight and after this embarassment, I doubt the Saints will take them lightly. But I also dont want to take much from this season until the second game is over and a trend is established. If we still get torched, then something is very wrong. Considering our lack of depth at CB, its a problem that needs to be addressed immediately.

Silly cajun, thats your career record vs. Browns. Not what I think you'll go this season.

It was on a Sunday, think it was Game of the Week on Fox. It was a fucking blast to watch, even if Ben sunk that dagger into our hearts at the end of regulation.

So it looks like Gordon will play this year upon an agreement. It's just a matter of will how many games will be lifted from the suspension or will the thing be lifted.

The @NFL says “no one in our office had seen” the Ray Rice video until today. It’s my understanding the #Ravens had not seen it either.

Was the department holding the video Raven fans? What's the deal with that.....

His memory is stupid. He can describe plays from his community college days. Not just the outcomes but the positioning of all 22 guys on the field. He's pretty fascinating to listen to when he opens up.

So this is what it feels like to be a bills fan.

You dont even have a clue what its like to be a Bills fan, things that happened since the Bills were eliminated in the playoffs in 1999

9-11
Steelers won 2 super bowls
Dreamcast died
2k football died
Microsoft entered the console market
USA hit 300 million people
Willow Smith was born
You were born

To be fair it was pretty stupid to even run a play there.

That was also on the coaches for letting those 3 points get away.

Yeah I thought it was on a Sunday. I remember being on vacation in San Fran and my wife wanting to go out on a Sunday. She wanted to go someplace nice to eat. The kind of place that doesn't fry everything and have 100 tvs on every wall showing every football game. Needless to say I saw almost the entire game and made a fool of myself when they scored the winning TD.

I guess the stats and my eyes must not be able to comprehend his pure dominance.

RG3 LEAF 2.0
I don't get why he can't handle a bltiz.

Every fucking time there is a wide receive wide open and he just runs around and gets sacked and falls awkwardly.

I really thought that he would have picked up on it by now.

Is it that hard? Is he that stupid?

I stopped watching that game after the first quarter because both of those teams suck but how did the Redskins put up 400 yards of offense and score 6 points?

Also, irg3 had a great game through the air, 78% completion rate and 9.6 yards per completion. What did he do poorly other than get destroyed by his awful line?

Just saw the Ray Rice video. Yikes I wonder if they'll talk about it on First Take.
I would love to be the one writing the talking points on Smith's teleprompter during that segment:

He didn't know his own strength.

He just wanted to keep her from attacking him, it was actually an accident.

You can see from the loving way he moves her, like she is a sack of potatoes, that he really loves her and felt horrible about the outcome (ignore the part where he leaves her halfway in the elevator and outside and some dude has to stick his hand there to stop it).

Ray has grown since this and they are happily married now.

He used to be really good at football.

He has no burst left from the bit I saw, it's shocking how slow he still is. Shanahan broke him, I hope that first round playoff exit was worth it!

If he is completing 80% of his passes and pushing the ball downfield, who gives a shit if he can run?
