:dead...someone should just photoshop a coffin at that spot..

Steinbrenner was banned from baseball. Why shouldn't Irsay be banned from the NFL?

The NFL has had a history of PR mishaps with a few owners. If Goodell was truly a commissioner instead of a figurehead judge he would be trying to clean up all of the sport.

If the NFL had a panel reviewing these discipline instead of a sole figure nobody would be this angry at him.

Only real solution is to get Vince Mcmahon to bring back the XFL.

XFL network is only 9.98

Make Vince the new commissioner. Wrestling matches during halftime. Ladder matches between each teams kickers to decide who gets the ball first. Surround the end zone with steel cages.

"New York Jets, you'll be in a Tag Team match tonight.... with da Undertaker!"

Wouldn't mind a commissioner who is open to more radical rule changes, instead of just tweaks or a "reemphasize' on existing rules. The one idea I read a while back that I'm sure would work is get rid of both offensive holding and defensive PI. The two would cancel each other out from a competitive standpoint while greatly reducing the burden on referees to make borderline calls snap after snap. Every longtime football fan can spot a PI or hold on almost every single play, whether it's called or not. Just make them legal and move on.

Ehh, I don't know if I'd get rid of defensive PI totally. Scale it back from where it is now, sure. But if you take it out, you're literally going to get corners tackling receivers before they even have a chance at the ball on every pass.

I love defense too. I'm not sure you want soccer scores in NFL games though.

jesus fucking christ

Why would anyone ever pass the ball if holding were legal? Tackle the guy you are supposed to block, let the RB go 1-1 with the last remaining defender.

FUN!

Man I'm on lunch break listening to the radio and folks are calling in butthurt over Cam's Suh comments lmao. I thought it was just Cam having fun, and he didn't even disrespect Suh or Detroit. People are comparing it to dumbass Josh Sitton calling the Lions scumbags (before we destroyed them on Thanksgiving). It's not even in the same ballpark...
Lol I remember the Sportscenter anchor being pretty butt hurt about it. The midnight team

So real life NFL Blitz? I like it.

They still wouldn't be able to just tackle them at the LoS, as that's a different rule. I'm referring only to the "ball in the air" PI, which generally happens after the receiver has made their break and gained some separation. Sure, you could just dive at him and try to knock him to the ground, but then you risk getting burnt completely. Receivers would have way more time to get open and thus gain more separation before the pass.

How is that any different to how offensive blocking schemes work now, minus the tackling part. You try to gain a numbers advantage at the point of attack, simple as that, but teams constantly fuck that up and backs pick the wrong way to run. Maybe just relax the rule so you can do everything up to but not a straight up take down.

What? Because it's not longer a real questions. If you let a guy hold they win the matchup. That's why holding is illegal, to make the game interesting.

If holding were legal the game would be all unbalanced sweeps in a v formation.

Although if holding were legal pretty much every kickoff would be a touchdown.

Bearhug works just as well as a tackle.

What happened with you then?

I would decimate that picnic burger.

Yeah, it looks great.

For real though the Peter McAndrews sandwiches are the biggest stars for me. The sandwiches at his Paesano's restaurants are some of the best I have ever eaten in my life.

Edit: They make this wrap called the Gustaio that is unreal. I could eat one every day. Roasted Lamb Sausage, Sun Dried Cherry Mostarda, Gorgonzola and Roasted Fennel.

What's so crazy?. Xbone is holding back PS4 on multi platform games just like how PC versions of games get dumbed down regularly.

To say that Bungie is working against the PS4 when they have a marketing deal with them is crazy. There is a PS4 Destiny bundle for god sakes. :tompenny'ed

What's this happen to do with lazy devs not utilizing a gaming platforms full potential and dumbing games down for parity? Freaking Diablo 3 was designed around consoles..

Tonight's game is important. it could put us in the driver's seat of the division early while also fucking the Rat's chances for taking the North. I hope the Steelers spent all week focusing on getting set before the no huddle.
