In 2013 the Eagles were 13th in the league in red zone efficiency (TD only) at 53.23%. Far from excellent.

The top 5 teams in red zone efficiency were:

  1. Broncos -72.73%
  2. Bengals -71.43%
  3. Cowboys -68.63%
  4. Lions -62.50%
  5. Chiefs -59.68%

It amazes me how fans of certain games will talk themselves into thinking the devs actually care about fixing a game that sells already as a broken product.

I don't entirely disagree, but I was looking at it from a Foles lead offense. They were a ton worse when Vick was in. They were also way, way better in the second half of last season when they finally started to grasp the new system.

Stat of the day: Ryan Tannehill is 32nd among QB's in percentage of passes thrown more than 15 yards downfield at 13.6%. Even with this conservative style of play his completion percentage ranks 28th at 60.5%.

Yea, I would agree they were better when Foles took over, I would love to see the numbers. I think the biggest problem the Eagles had was that they didn't have a possession type wide receiver that you could just throw the back shoulder fade to and have him come down with it. They tried it with Cooper, but I think Cooper lacks the athleticism to consistently win against opposing DBs . I think that is a big reason why they drafted Matthews. Matthews is long and tall, pretty good vertical and can compete in the air.
