Smart marketing to release a 'we're disappointed' statement from these companies. Insane and foolish to pull advertising however, the NFL provides an unrivaled consumer market, a market that hasn't at all wavered as a result of all this nonsense.

Thursday Night was a resounding success, and Sunday Night set a West Coast record.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
That Anheuser-Busch statement will be the start of something being done about Peterson. They haven't done anything huge yet, but the threat is now there.

This is from Twitter:

Anheuser-Busch contract with NFL is a six-year-deal for $1.2 billion.

They've also been the exclusive Super Bowl beer advertiser for 28 years. If another major sponsor steps up, this thing is going to get dicey for Goodell in a hurry.

If the numbers for Women dip they will pull or want to change their rates.

There is something really sad/funny about the idea that the nfl might be thinking to itself "we need to send a message that we are tough on domestic violence so we don't lose our beer sponsor"

I don't doubt that, but it'd have to be a huge dip.

And there was certainly no shortage of female Raven's fans who had no issue wearing his jersey Thursday, and it was still fresh.

I think at the end of the day people still look at the NFL as one, simple thing: football.

There was a poll that said something about 70% of women are angry at the NFL.

The #Texans also released WR Travis Labhart from the practice squad and signed S Josh Aubrey to the practice squad.

Sorry Mech, there's only one Welker left and he's a New England Patriot!

That really means nothing unless they aren't watching or spending far less on merchandise. Unless the NFL / owners are hit in the pocket they don't care. They will just do the minimal required to appear that they do.

That would just lead to harder drug usage and broken homes. Not a good idea.

There could be long term problems.

Between concussions and this do you think Mothers will want their children playing football? Especially with the rise of soccer and Dota2?

Why do people care about rankings?

NFL has a post season for a reason.

Clearly to keep talking, writing, and thinking about something abstract so we can categorize it into something in the brain that we can understand and compare to other things.

I'll take being 8 knowing that if we get the wild card we're still the second best team in the NFC. Carolina are paper tigers. They don't even play against a tough defense until week 8.

Ah, time for the weekly overreaction from fans for seeing their teams not at the top of these meaningless lists.

This isn't college football. You haven't lost your shot at a championship because you weren't top 4 in the week 2 polls. This isn't directed at any fanbase in particular
except for Niners fans

Panthers vs Texans in the John Deere Liberty Bowl

It's sorta hard to say if the Texans are 'really' good considering they beat a RG3 lead Redskins and the Raiders. Sadly this question won't be answered next week since they face the Giants.

Texans going to make the playoffs cause they are an average team with the easiest schedule in the league.

This years Chiefs.

And as showed by strength of schedule right before the season the Texans had the #2 easiest schedule. guess who had the easiest?
