NFL 2014 Week 4 |OT| Hell is Empty and All The Devils Are Here

Nick Foles is 9 for 48 on Passes that travel 20+ yards this year. Fuck that is almost Brady Levels of suck. I hate Sanchize so very much but I am not sure how he can be worse, he is more mobile and has a stronger arm. If Foles still has the deer in the headlights look at the start of the next game make the switch Chip.

No. The answer when your o-line is struggling is not "change the QB".

Also, since we're tossing out PFF grades. On Will Beatty's 2014 campaign thus far:

hm, let's see how Byron Bell and Nate Chandler grade out!

Mo Claiborne officially done for the year:

Mike Garafolo @MikeGarafolo · 1m

Patella, not ACL as Jerry has speculated. RT @NFLCharean: Stephen Jones said on his radio show that Morris Claiborne is done for the year.

Also, Falcons update:

Adam Caplan @caplannfl · 1m

While his MRI results are still being evaluated, it's unlikely #Falcons starting C Joe Hawley (knee) will play this week at Giants.

9ers had no sacks yesterday and the OL has given Foles time for the most part. The Skins game there was tons of pressure, but that wasnt the problem yesterday, Nick was totally out of synch. Everything was high the whole game, missed both Maclin and Cooper wide open down the field. He has plaed 2 good halfs so far this season, it is a fucking miracle they are 3-1, but if he keeps struggling that record wont hold up.

All i'm reading with these things is that if you neutralize Watt you win. Watt's absolute dominance makes the Texans D look awful by proxy.

See the Giants using 3 offensive line to stop Watt while the Texans' other 3 rushers failed to get pressure despite being blocked by 2 O-linemen and an RB.

While SF didn't sack Foles yesterday, they were disrupting the timing of the plays, and in an offense like Kelly's, that's huge.

See the goal line stand that SF had, out of the 4 plays, the only one that worked was the McCoy run (and they probably win the game if they keep running it). On the last two pass plays, there was a 49er who managed forced Foles to throw the ball early.

PFF's Eagles week 4 grades, Foles sucks even when not pressured:

Nick Foles was obviously not good. Not all of the blame can be shifted on the offensive line. Even when Foles had time, he didn't execute. Take a look at his stats from plays where he wasn't pressured: 17/30 (56.7%), 153 yards, 5.1 y/a, 0 TD, 1 INT, 56.7 rating. Bad.

Taking it a step further, Foles currently ranks 35th out of 36 eligible quarterback in PFF's "Accuracy Percentage" stat. This stat is like regular completion percentage except it adjusts for "dropped passes, throw aways, spiked balls, batted passes, and passes where the quarterback was hit while they threw the ball - factors that hurt the quarterback's completion percentage but don't help show how accurate they are." So even when Foles' completion percentage is adjusted for errors that aren't his fault, the result is still really bad.

My god it is so much worse then I would have even thought. If we just got good play from Foles, not even great, to go with the slightly improved D and greatly improved ST, Eagles could be really good.

Did you guys see Carr get hurt yesterday? Dude is hobbling off of the field like he only has one leg and all of his teammates are just standing around staring at him. Downright pitiful.
Saw the gif this morning. Was pretty fucked up not even a to called they a threw a a challenge flag instead. Not one team mate or trainer came out. A phins player was the only one that seemed even a little concerned

Between the harbaugh avatars and the gata cloning like a virus idk what's going on in here anymore. We need to burn this thread down and try again.

It's okay, one more game and then we can move on to a new thread. One that will feature what is obviously the game of the week (because Monday Night games are always the best):

The last time these two teams met up on that field, IRG3 had two functioning knees and a career in pro football ahead of him.

See you October 20th and Clowney should be back by then. Tell Ben to ice up.

Why? Ben eats sacks for breaksfast.

Steelers fans have spent the last three seasons begging for 2 linemen who could take up 2 blockers each. Texans have 1 guy who can eat three. Why aren't the Texans dominating every defensive statistical category?

Because Brooks and Mercilus at OLB cant rush the damn passer, Swearinger cant cover deep and Cushing is still not up to speed.

Looks like the Pats are changing up the interior oline. I had high hopes for Canon, but at this point he doesn't look like a starting caliber guard. Really excited to see what the Pats defense looks like in a couple of weeks when they are healthy, and everyone is back. Still have high hopes for the defense.
