this isn't baseball where teams give up loads of players/picks for one guy. Who's going to give up what he's worth? No one, you're going to get pennies on the dollar. You might as well keep him, there are loads of examples of teams turning it around after a year. But they need to get rid of Rick Smith at minimum, he's missed far too many times on the mid rounds.

Herschel Walker ruined everything

Belichick is a psychopath. He signed three special teams safeties today. Patriots now have ten safeties on the team between the active roster and practice squad, and four of the safeties on the 53 man roster- Brandon King, Tavon Wilson, Nate Ebner, and Dewey McDonald- are pure special teamers.

Sometimes I think Belicheck does things to dick with people and is playing 11th dimension chess.

Nothing sucks more than giving up cheap special teams TDs or having bad special teams coverage that cant advance the ball a little bit.

It's probably like Jack Reacher where there's one guy he really wants and the others are just a smokescreen. He may have to cut the guy he wants but doesn't want the league wise to who it is

Makes sense. It's like if Jack Reacher was supposed to be 6'5" and they got Tom Cruise to play him in the movie.

If you have a good QB it's easy mode. Focus your energy on building the team around him. If he's younger, get some journeyman to back him up and keep him clean. If he's older, spend an early pick and build up his heir a few years out. Pretty easy if you are a half way decent GM.

If you don't have a QB well, then you are fucked until you either build a team that holds it's own with a game manager or have the team built up enough that it's ready to have that QB plugged in and take off. If you're in this spot, it probably makes sense to continue to try and hit gold at the QB position however you can. Seahawks are a good example of this in that they built the team up, and then actively pursued QBs through all available options. Flynn, Russ, and trying to land Peyton was a good example of Seattle doing this. Until you do land that QB, you'll probably be a shitty team. Giving up your existing talent in the form of trades and going for broke via those draft picks will leave you with a shitty all around team if you don't hit on a QB.

Everyone looks like a genius when they hit on a QB. Unless you fuck it up like they have in Indy the last couple years.

He's given up on signing corners.

Tom Cruise is awesome actor for action imo. I honestly think that he's keeping the "Action" movies industry alive with his movies that he directed and acted.
