NFL Pro Bowl 2016
Date: Sunday, January 31st
Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
Channel: ESPN
Online streaming: WatchESPN
Location: Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii
Rosters: Team Irvin | Team Rice
Coaches: Winston Moss | Andy Reid

Pro Bowl rules:

Game within the Game -- A two-minute warning will be added to the first and third quarters and the ball will change hands after each quarter. This will increase the opportunities for quarterbacks to direct "two-minute drills"

No Kickoffs -- The coin toss will determine which team is awarded possession first. The ball will be placed on the 25-yard line at the start of each quarter and after scoring plays.

Cover Two and Press Coverage -- The defense will be permitted to play "cover two" and "press" coverage. In previous years, only "man" coverage was permitted, except for goal line situations.

Stopping of the Game Clock -- Beginning at the two-minute mark of every quarter, if the offense does not gain at least one yard, the clock will stop as if the play were an incomplete pass. This rule will make the team with the ball attempt to gain yardage toward the end of each quarter.

Game Timing -- The game clock will start after an incomplete pass on the signal of the referee, except inside the last two minutes of the first half and the last five minutes of the second half.

Play Clock -- A 35-second/25-second play clock will be adopted instead of the typical 40-second/25-second clock.

Sacks -- The game clock will not stop on quarterback sacks outside of the final two minutes of the game. Currently, the game clock stops in these situations outside of two- minutes of the second and fourth quarters.

To be fair, with how badly Millen destroyed that franchise it is a shock they have any.

This. So much this.

Through Matt Millen's tenure as Lions GM he drafted maybe three great-good players - Calvin Johnson, Roy Williams, Cliff Avril.

I don't think non-Lions fans know how bad he fucked up this organization and how long it's taken to get back on our feet. Martin Mayhew, IMO, did an admirable job and left a lot of young, talented players for Bob Quinn.

Megatron gets drafted in 2007, 2008 we got 0-16. Then from 2009-2011, Stafford was hurt and Megatron once again had to put up gaudy numbers with Jon Kitna, (fat) Daunte Culpepper, Dan Orlowsky and Drew Stanton.

He starts putting up record numbers and getting to the playoffs when Matthew Stafford is our starting QB.

It's not Megatron's fault Justin Tucker hit a 61 yard field goal on MNF, or that the referees inexpiably pulled the flag on the Brandon Pettigrew against the Cowboys in the playoffs or that Aaron Rodgers throws a Hail Mary this season on MNF.

Shit happens at least he can say "I won in Green Bay".

I've loved everything Calvin Johnson has done for the city, the franchise and the fans.

But if he feels his body can no longer take it, combined with knowledge that all NFL players have now about the long term effects the game has, it's his call to make at the end of the day.

Still going to wait for an official press release or conference.

Looking back, don't you regret not taking it?

I just don't know how as a fan that you would want to invest another dime into that failure of a franchise when your best players break like that. If y'all could have traded him or anything else then it wouldn't be nearly as bad.

Nah. My team is my team. I picked the lions as my team because the only time my family watched football growing up was on Thanksgiving at my uncle's.

Megatron the god :( bummer

lolions will never get it right

Fuck that.

Baseball is the way to go. I can go grind for a few years playing AA ball in bumfuck nowhere if it means I'll be making good money (for a longer amount of time) down the road and will be able to remember all my children's names in 20 years.

My ex boss's son is making 500K in double AA or triple AAA as a pitcher, think its 500K for 2-3 years, plenty of money to last forever , i should have played baseball

Real talk though, I'm not gay, but Calvin Johnson has to be one of the best looking man on this planet when you take into account his face and overall body/build.

Let's not forget Calvin started this whole "what's a catch" bullshit by not holding on to a touchdown long enough for it to count. Good riddance.

The NFL started it and had continued to fuck it up like they do with most rules in the rulebook.

For the record- it was a catch against the Bears.
