NFL 2016 Offseason Thread |OT2| No Country for Old Members

My Steelers dream draft:

1 - Andrew Billings - DT - Baylor (Might have to trade up to get this guy)
2 - Karl Joseph - S - WVU (Also serious doubts as to his availability at this point)
3 - Shilique Calhoun - OLB - MSU (Extremely athletic, but is a project)
4 - Cardale Jones - QB - OSU (Steelers are going to take a qb, might as well get the one with the most upside)
6 - Jalin Marshall - WR - OSU (Return specialist)
7 - Cre'von LeBlanc - CB - FAU (Also can return kicks)
7 - Reggie Northrup - ILB - FSU (A thumper ala Vince Williams)

If Pittsburgh had the 10th pick, I'd still want Billings and Joseph. Those guys are just that good. Joseph might be the first round pick, but that's going to depend upon his medical evaluations.

Friend my dream steelers draft.

1. Pick forfeited
2. Pick forfeited
3. Pick forfeited
4. Pick forfeited
6. Pick forfeited
7. Pick forfeited
7. Pick forfeited

I am mildly surprised that people still order pizza from Dominos, but I'm totally not surprised that OT GAF would have a 40 page thread about it.

It's good and cheap. I like it.

How dare you disrespect the legend of 12 Gauge.

Holy mother of stupid...

It's not as bad as it looks. He said it was after he scored high marks on a sociology test.
Yes, it's bad. It's stupid.. Haven't you ever said stupid things in your life?

I'm thankful that Tabris will never bandwagon on the Iggles.

You know better

I love it.. then just take away the Lombardi's and it's perfect.

Gutsy moves.

We live in Goodell's America.. This can happen and it should. Come on Rog.. Surely there is something they have done that warrants such a move.

I've recently been made aware that:

1) Minnesota has a professional basketball team.

And

2) We've just defeated the best team in the entire league.

Is it safe to say that we're now considered NBA champions?

The Lakers decimated the Warriors.

I'm kind of bummed, but it's the Calvin Johson stance, as have many other great legends of the past like Jim Brown and Barry Sanders.

Still got at least 4 years of being dominant with more DPOY.

Hopefully we should have actual consistent QB play this time around.

I see all you Watt haters. I see you people.

With his work ethic I could see him being dominant into his mid 30s, so I don't think that necessarily means he's going to retire early. The limiting factor here is injuries. Dude played through hell in 2015, and if they keep piling up, that could keep him from staying dominant in the future.

I don't recall a thing about Jim's health being a reason he retired though.

The main reason Jim did was because of Art bitching about Jim missing practices to shoot movies and Jim realizing that there was absolutely nothing more to accomplish in football and to get away from Art's bitching.. Retired to get laid and do drugs and live the American Dream.

Once again proving why Art is the worst..

If you listen to the interview he did with 610 in Houston he literally says he is not going to be a guy that just hangs on and that he is going to retire early. He thens goes on to say that when he gets to a point that he is no longer the best DL and is only the 4th best DL he would walk away.

I know, I'm saying if injuries don't keep him down, I think he'll be one of the best DL in the league for a good while, although him straight out saying he's retiring early is different.

A few thoughts about Watt:

1. It's super premature for him to think about retirement. His feelings will probably change year to year on it.

2. People tend to like money/fame so don't be surprised if he keeps playing for it

3. On the other hand, those injuries he suffered from last season may have him thinking about how bad it can get. There's a slim possibility that he won't bounce back from them and he may have been told as much by doctors.

JJ Watt is going to retire early. Mech is on suicide watch.
:lol

You retire to get less attention. This is just him being a slut for attention again.

JJ will die on the field. That would get the most attention possible and would send him to heaven/hell a content man who lived the life he wanted to.

If Watt wants to retire then by all means retire early. Don't go out like a basic bitch like Andre Johnson.

Texans do need help at the other DE position and I wouldn't be shocked if they address that in round 1 this year over a WR . Texans Defense this year has potential to be REALLY good this year if they can get production from that other DE spot.

He didn't sound like he was acting like Johnson though. He was only saying if he's not the best anymore then that's it. But that probably won't be for another few years barring another groin injury.

It would help if the Texans stopped wasting their picks on bums like Clowney, and found Watt some help on the DL so he could rest more
