Bionic have you watched the Rouge One trailer yet? I think it looks so much better then TFA, and I loved TFA.

It looks pretty damn good for a side story. And it gives me hope that this is not going to be an Ewoks adventures.

But people are crazy to anoint it past TFA. Hell it doesn't even look as good as the trailers for TFA, which are some of the best to ever do it. I was terrified before the movie came out that it, like a lot of movies, would never live up the quality and hype we saw from the trailers. I just couldn't handle that disappointment again.

I am going to watch it and I am looking forward to it, but lets not sucking our own dicks just yet!

To be honest, they might be watered down and maybe even skunky, but I don't necessarily think they are terrible. I've had some craft beers that try too hard, and don't know themselves like a Natty Ice does if that makes sense.

They were just about to ramp up pre-production on that when I left ILM, so I can't give any insight on that one.

I like the director a lot, but that doesn't necessarily indicate anything.

I'm guessing the CG is gonna be a mixed bag on that one...a film of that scope given all the other projects going on at ILM at the same time means they likely outsourced a good portion of shots to other studios and would have to budget scenes accordingly with whoever they did have on staff. The best shots can easily be Davy Jones quality at minimum, whether they were afforded the time/budget to do so (and for how many shots) is the big question.

My only real problem with TFA: The pacing felt a little too on the nose 'modern kinetic.' Would have preferred a touch more quiet character interaction instead of regular action. The first scene with Han felt particularly troublesome. I get that it does a decent job of letting you know Han is still Han, but it felt too forced. The scene felt like 'it's been a while so lets shoot more stuff.' All of the action could have been summarized in some throwaway lines while they slowly repair the damage and do a little more talking. Other than that. Saw the film twice. Can't remember the last time I did that for a movie.

Secret best part of the new movies: The trailer music for both movies has been fantastic.

Jack is a dream pick for me I just don't see Dallas getting him, if we trade back to the mid round I can see Noah Spence as a possibility or Lynch, since DT is deep and rod marinelli does not prioritize that position especially in the first round, but hell I'd love to snag Billings. Feel spoiled to be honest Dallas has a chance for some really great players this draft
